It was a total disappointment. I was here a year ago and i really enjoyed it. This time not!! This time (2weeks ago) all portions of the tasting menu have been just miniature plates. Nothing to compare with the other pictures here of the menu. Three of the nine courses were nice, the others really low on taste. All other mains and starters my group ordered with the menu never arrived to our table and also not after asking two times for it. But the dishes arrived on our Bill. This was all such unprofessional behaviour. The selection of wine is just one rose, one red and one white wine. So there is not really a choice for the guests. The white wine was warm. And we needed to wait a while before we could have our first glass until it was a bit colder after being put on ice. We were a group of 6 people ordering a nine course menu. After the first bottle of wine was empty we ordered (surprise) a second one it was warm AGAIN. The cocktails have been nice. The restaurant is pretty. Classic case of wanting to play with the big guys but not...
Read moreThis restaurant is located in a brutalist interior which is interesting. Unfortunately disturbed by too much clutter and unnecessary things laying around. Especially arriving at the place and being greeted by dirty dishes on a tray, deep freezer and microwave.
However the food is spectacular and you should definitely eat here. We loved it and can highly recommended it. A beautiful mix of flavours of local ingredients but still not over flavoured. Perfect fish, meat and other seafood. We choose the 6 course tasting menu.
Unfortunately only one wine was available. A red. In a restaurant of this category (pricing) a brighter choice would be expected.
Unfortunately the outfit of the service staff was not at the level of sophistication of food and prices. Why does the kitchen team have beautiful uniforms and the service not?
Little things which could be fixed easily will make this place to a perfect spot. We will...
Read moreOur major complaint with this place was that the prices were considerably higher than the other restaurants we have been visiting but this places wasn’t our favourite. The cocktail lounge on the first floor seems quite chic and fashionable but the restaurant upstairs is quite plain. The small tables on the little balconies though look very romantic..The menu is quite limited although personally there was enough choice for me. We don’t have big appetites….especially not here in Oaxaca…so I don’t usually complain about portions being too small but that was the case. We left hungry…the cocktails - even the margarita were miniscule…the service was super attentive..definitely no complaints here…Bottom line…for the price and portion sizes there are way better...
