Paraiso by Caña Brava — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Can’t speak for the restaurant part of this establishment but the club scene they do on the weekends is absolutely awful. The crowd is full of pretentious foreigners, the music is horrible. It might look packed from the outside but it’s worth walking past. As an American with family from Oaxaca in my group that night, we experienced discrimination from the staff including the security at the door and was ignored at the bar all while giving priority to white individuals. If after reading this you still say let’s go to Paraiso, you’re supporting their racist...

A really low key yet high end feel to this place, in contrast with the more rowdy and rickety beach “clubs” that surround it on Playa Zicatela. If you’re staying near here, heck, I’d be at this place every day. Amazing cocktails, sushi, fish tacos, micheladas, plus sun beds and deck chairs to lounge around on under the shade of some perfect palms facing right into the Pacific. Swimming is not usually an option with Zicatela’s world class waves, but with a place like this to hang at you’re not...

Food is awful. They don’t really make anything, menu contains sushi, burgers, pasta, ramen, seafood, etc.

we ordered the burger thinking it would be the easiest and therefore good, it was really bad, bread was easily one week old, meat was questionable, fries dripping with oil and not a single house made sauce.

Maybe for a drink it would be acceptable, and at most acceptable, for food avoid...
