I came in during the evening on two occasions & it was empty. The place has a beautiful aesthetic and I loved the decor. I am a coffee person, so it was only right that I ordered a iced latte. The machine they operate to make espresso was a commercial machine, so you’d think the coffee would be amazing. Sadly, the latte fell short. The coffee was very bitter & the girl who made it clearly burned the espresso because it had a burnt taste. I think the girls in there need some training on espresso making.
On the second occasion, I was upset because of their lack of honesty. I came in with my iPad so I could use their WiFi. It’s a cafe & most cafes will allow you to use their internet as long as you purchase something. I asked them if I could use their internet they said yes I just needed to buy something on their menu. Not a problem, I did that. Once I sat down, I waited for my drink and of course the internet password. One girl came to me and gave me my drink & I asked her if she could please give me the password so I could log into the wifi. She said “yes, we’re looking for the password we will give it to you.” Again, not a problem I am a patient person. Then the second girl comes to me and says "we actually don’t have the password. My boss has it and he won’t be here for about 2-4 hours." Which in my mind I knew straight away they didn’t want me to use their wifi. If they would have told me straight away they didn’t want me to use their WiFi, I wouldn’t have been upset. These girls were sneaky, and I feel like they stole from me because they just wanted me to buy something only to tell me I couldn’t use the service they told me I could use. Then, after she told me this I over heard her say "jefe"(boss) to one of the guys in the back, and I got super annoyed. This was the first and most disgusting service I have received in Oaxaca, which Is sad because I call this place home. This place hasn’t been opened that long & is already off to a bad start in my opinion. I have an Airbnb around the corner, so based off this experience I WILL NOT RECOMMEND this place to my friends & clients. There are so many places in the centro that offer a better customer...
Read moreThis is a relatively new place near the mercado Sanchez Pascuas. The offerings are primarily salads and sandwiches. Everything I have had there has been good. Nothing really innovative or unique but competently prepared cafe style food. The service is friendly and reasonably prompt. The ambiance is comfortable and pleasant with a rather striking...
The service and food was just ok, nothing special. But I will never come back to a place that doesn’t include service fee in the check, but then automatically includes tips when it’s time for me to use my card, without even asking me about the amount of the tip that I would like to leave. More over, the girl didn’t show me the screen of the pos terminal, she took my back card out of my hands while taking the payment. It pisses me off so much, that I was ready to go back and ask her to give me a refund, but she was lucky I didn’t have...
