Ok this isn’t a luxury hotel, it shows a bit of age and shows the typical wear and tear of a Mexican hotel, ||But….||It’s clean! The linens are clean, the staff are visible going through the suites everyday, preparing each room, providing clean towels etc. floors are clean, grounds are swept and washed regularly throughout the day, the pool is kept in good repair and is clean and useable with ample room to lounge around it.||Cold AC, fans, and hot water in the room, mattresses, bedding and pillows were all comfortable as well.||Several parking spots on site as well as a lane way immediately next to it||The ocean is 150’ directly through the property’s rear veranda, excellent access. And the beach is soft and smooth with the rolling waves of a surf beach.||Restaurants and cabanas flank each side so food and drink are steps away, ||Ammenities are all available with one exception. There’s only one ATM in the entire area which frequently runs out of cash and lots of places are cash only since we had a care we were able to drive 20min up the highway to load up, be prepared.||Zipolite is also a clothing optional beach so if that’s not your thing then you will need to reconsider as naked people are occasionally on the grounds, didn’t bother us but some might care.||We had previously booked a room up the road which was nightmare material but we’re so glad we were able to relocate here, and it was actually...
Read moreWhat a great place! This is a true family-friendly place where the owner, Marco, is involved 100% of the time. The staff are courteous, hard working and very friendly. It is nice to have the option of AC in your room as seldom places in the area have it. The pools are kept clean and provide a refreshing option from the strong ocean waves. I can't stress enough, if you want a great place, family friendly, free of drugs and full of hard working, responsible, friendly staff - this is your place! Marco is a wealth of information and is always willing to go above and beyond to recommend the best and most reasonable places to go to. The next door restaurant La Choza, serves a great morning coffee and delicious fish and sea food. Prices are reasonable. Ask for Sergio, this server is a true gentleman. |Overall, our two weeks spent there with our two daughters (ages 3 and 7) were amazing. The ONLY thing missing from this peace of heaven were some hammocks. But Sergio next door at La Choza, was kind enough to let us lounge in theirs. |Will return for sure!|Karla...
Read moreThe rooms were a good size for 3 people - 2 double beds and lots of plugs. Air conditioner worked great plus additional fans to help with the 30+ degree weather. Bathroom looked newly renovated with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Toilet was in great working order - it's hard to find that in Zipolite. The hotel itself is in a perfect location - right in the centre of town and right on the beach. There is also a cafe right beside the hotel that serves great americanos. There is also a patio/balcony area available if you want to still be on the beach but under shade. There is also a heated pool if you don't want to get sandy. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. I booked through booking.com and needed some help dealing with them regarding an issue and they were more than helpful and patient. Would DEFINITELY...
