Ergo Food Fresh Healthy — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

I am from Los Angeles and this was my first time visiting Playa Del Carmen. I spent a lot of time eating delicious food on La Quinta/5th ave, but came across this hiding gem a few blocks north on 25 norte and 38 st. The quality and freshness of this small corner stand is unmatched. I am a huge critic of food and never ever leave reviews, but this place deserves recognition. This place has a lot of potential but needs some improvement.

Really slow service, were we had to get up and actually find menus ourselves. The food took 30 minutes to come out after ordering. Not from being busy, but from a overall slow moving staff. When questioning what is taking so long, the server defended it instead of fixing the solution. Ironically when the food arrived the eggs, beans and meat were all cold.

We've been here 3 times during are trip and I don't see us stopping. We've mainly only had the impanadas only cuz there so delicious. Specifically the carne and queso or meat and cheese. The service is wonderful! The salsas or 3 sauces you get are delicious 🤤 and the guayoyo is a Venezuelan coffee ☕ it's dark but sweet and not burnt.
