My favorite beach spot in Playa, hands down. This place is a vibe in and of itself.
I've come several times now and I nor any of my company had any complaints. This is what you want to experience while visiting the Mexican Riviera.
Do yourself a favor and grab a table on the beach before the sun goes down because it seems the place changes for better. The best seats are beachfront and maybe 15 feet from the ocean. Aside from the amazing ambience with the lanterns etc., they have a fire show on the beach. Not sure if Fusion puts this on or it is local entertainers but they seem to be there every night.
If you are familiar with the service in Mexico it is usually not up to par. The service at Fusion is very good compared to most.
If you like Hookah...they have it. Usually do not indulge. Great location to enjoy if you do. Also puts a great smell in the air adding to the experience here.
Live music!
Full Bar. You should find whatever you're seeking to drink and they make them well. Cold beers and a decent selection of tequila.
Most importantly.....the food! Fried fish tacos, shrimp tacos and more tacos!!! Crevice. Guacamole & chips. I usually stick to the seafood especially here but they do have a variety. Burgers, hummus, even pizza which was made pretty well (coming from a NYer). Everything is great that I have tried and whatever I have not tried looked amazing. Let me add that the prices are very reasonable.
I love how there iis no rush here. You're here for a good time, beach, food & drinks. They'll let you enjoy.
P.S. If your a fan of Tabasco sauce, this may be the only place in...
Read more0 stars for the food 5 stars for the ambience. I wanted to love this place so bad but unfortunately the food was just so awful it was inedible. The ambience, decor and music was amazing. Service was slow but we were fine with that. My husband and I both orderd a simple grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and bruchetta as an appetizer. A server dropped off appetizer plates. An hour later the plates were taken away but we never got our bruchetta. When the food finally arrived it was all delivered togther. No problem we were enjoying the music. The chicken was ice cold and somehow had 10x the salt it should have. The potatoes were worse, oh so much worse. Imagine 3 day old leftover slimey potatoes mixed with lime juice and clam juice. They were also Ice cold.
When we manged to get the attention of the waitress she did eventually offer to redo my food . After the disgusting disaster there was no way I would try again. My husband was so hungry he ate half the chicken salt cake but couldn't stomach eating the slimey potatoes.. The waitress took 1 entree off our bill, so we ended up paying for one plate of barely touched nastiness.
The atmosphere was so nice we will probably stop by again, but only for canned or bottled beverages that can't be messed up.
I'm still disappointed as I really thought I would...
Read moreWe where 5 People wanting to sit outside on the beach in the mild breeze of a wind. It was 22.30 and they where half full. We where told to wear a mask for walking 4 meters to the table. It was idiotic and senseless to do so. We are outside and we know from science that the virus isn’t contagious outside at all. We said kindly we wouldn’t get 5 masks to walk 3 meters and sit down to take it off when it was all outside. She said she couldn’t seat us then.
This is a joke. I don’t care if they think a recommendation is a law but it’s NOT a law and it’s unlawful to force anyone to comply. Mexicans already know it makes no sense to comply. The more you comply with idiocracy the more idiotic it will get.
I don’t recommend supporting places like this when they don’t know the law and where locals are policing locals without been educated or read the law. Any good boss would either tell their employees “don’t be policing people. Trust them and turn them into customers. Trust comes first” next he/she would educate them in the rules.
Complying like this will only Make this place lose clients/paying guests. Remember we can as guests always go somewhere else and spend our money. So we did - as this madness of compliance to rules and forgetting the law,...
