Read moreWe walked in and were not greeted, we stood there at host station patiently for a few minutes while being ignored by two waiters talking to one another. Then when we asked can we be seated one of the waiters very rudely put up his finger and said one minute while again ignoring our presence there, at this point at least 5 minutes no acknowledgement from waiters who were right in our face ignoring us giving impression that we were not welcome. We finally sat ourselves as obviously the waiters there were not paying us any attention and when we sat down those two waiters walked past us numerous times again not greeting us or asking I we wanted water, drinks or food.
I do feel there was a bit of prejudice in the way the waiters just obviously and very unprofessionally disregarded our attempt to patronize the establishment. We finally, after flagging down the other waiters in the restaurant, received a drink but the Pina colada did not taste of any alcohol content and it had some kind of grainy texture in it and overall we just did not feel welcome.
One of the waiters who completely ignored us from the time we approached the host station until the moment we paid for our drinks and were about to leave, had the nerve to open the bill folder to check how much tip we left IN FRONT OF US. Was very disappointing seeing the waiters continue to service tables around us while completely ignoring us, like we did not come there to spend money and have a great time as well.

We were met by a young lady at the reception who was more interested in reading messages on her phone than acknowledge us.
Once inside, we were shocked to see how rundown Zenzi is. They really need to revamp the space.
Having said that, we sat at a table, waited 10 minutes for someone to serve us...... yes 10 minutes with no other tables in sight.
We ordered a few beers and then what caught my attention was the crumb fried fish and chips. When it arrived, it was batter fried which I absolutely detest. We called the served and told him that crumb fried is written on the menu but what we got is batter fried. He turned around and said he will call the manager. So then a person named Juan (apparently the manager) came to see us. He was not only pompous but arrogant and rude. He said that if we didn't like the food he could give us the bill. We could not believe our ears.
Instead of getting argumentative and spoiling our day out, we paid the bill and left.
