Atmosphere is beautiful and it overlooks the ocean. I asked the first waiter to seat me on the deck and he told me it was not possible because he had to place tables there. Yet, the restaurant had approximately 8 people there at the time. I pointed to an area on the side where there was no tables at all and he reluctantly decided to let me seat there.
It’s a shame to let this prime location go to waste based on the food horrible food experience. I initially ordered the quinoa salad, and the waitress properly told me that she would not advise it because people are not happy with the taste despite multiple efforts to improve the recipe.
I asked her what she’d recommend and the first thing she told me was salad. 🫤 The only other recommendation she made was burgers. 🤷♀️
I asked her what her favorite salad was and she told me the salmon salad and so I ordered it. They did not include the dressing with the salmon salad and I had to go and ask for it. I wish I had never done that because once I tasted the salad after pouring the dressing on top of it, I came to realize that the strawberry vinaigrette was rotten and had a spoiled taste to it. Even the lettuce was wilted and not fresh.
I ended up paying my bill for my two teas and tipping the waitress out of sympathy. It’s a shame that she has to suffer from such poor service and food options.
I typically don’t take time to write reviews unless I’m grossly dissatisfied. This is one of...
Read moreWe opted for the New Years pre fixe dinner for $200 for 2. We booked and paid online. When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation and after a few managers came they seated us on the beach which was lovely and not very comfortable. The server was friendly and accommodating. The soup was Luke warm consistency of yogurt and Brie. Salad was fine. Main course of salmon was dry and off base. The sides did make sense and over sauced. Our other main dish of surf and turf (lobster and steak) was tough, and inedible. We ate nothing and immediately let the lovely sever know. At this point we were not interested in another meal from this chef or kitchen. We tried the dessert which was icy and tasteless. We stayed at the beach table and had a few drinks to bring In the new year. Wait staff and her supervisor apologized numerous times and agreed the meal was inedible and suggested the manager would make it right. We asked for the check and they brought us a bill for $60 for our additional drinks. When I spoke to management regarding our disappointment in the food they said it was us not them. Had security at the table and demanded we pay the $60 even though we paid $200 for a meal that was inedible. Would not recommend this restaurant for all of the...
Read moreThe place is nice but my girlfriend ordered a grilled Dorade fish and got a Mahi Mahi fish instead. ( Which is much cheaper) . I got the Rib Eye beef but the quality was not good and contained a lot of fat. If you are there for Lunch you have to order for minimum 500 Pesos per person. In the afternoon it is 300 Pesos. Price is fine for a beach club. This is easy to spend. We went there twice. Yesterday in the afternoon for drinks. This was nice and music was moderate comparing to other beachclubs in Playa del Carmen. Today we went for lunch. And after the second street musician get the allowance from the beachclub to interfere with a very loud sound speaker it has ruined the relaxing atmoshphere so we decided to live like other guest did also. The management didn’t care much after we told the reason we left. Also no toilet paper in the ladies room. Attached the bill in...
