McDonald's — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

Look, I walk within 200 meters of this restaurant and they ask for a review. It's the worst food on the planet, bad for your health and a greasy environment. Nevertheless, I go sometimes out of nostalgia. If I travel to a foreign country I always buy a combo meal because it helps in two ways. Comparitive price of foreign currency and continuity. What I love about McDonald's is that no matter where you go in the world, it's always the same. You know what you're getting for your money and it won't be a good value. I also respect the ways that the corporation gives to the local communities, jobs donations etc.. So to say the food sucks is just my culinary opinion but there's more good about McDonald's...

We arrived at 8:15, the sign on the door said it opened at 8:30 am. At 8:30, multiple people were waiting for it to open. The mall janitor even banged on the door, but no one would even look our way. They finally opened the doors at 8:42, but they still weren't fully ready. Staff were still doing things that should have been done before opening. Ours was the first order - 2 simple sausage and egg McMuffin combos - it took a full 9 minutes to get my order ready. McDonald's is McDonald's ....I believe it's the same all over the world.

The coffee is fantastic but they have changed the Lid for the coffee cup. IT DOESN'T FIT THE CUP.....!!!!!

Additionally; they have the most ridiculous placement for the lid. ( See attached pictures )

If you didn't catch this or overlooked this fact...you 100 % would burn yourself as the lid wouldn't hold the cup and the boiling coffee will spill on your...
