Toks — Restaurant in Playa del Carmen

Honestly, this time I was super disappointed with Toks because we always eat really well at this restaurant, but this time they let us down. We got to the restaurant like usual, ordered our food, and asked for some chiles en nogada, but they took a really long time to arrive. So, we had to ask the waiter when they were coming, and he said they were on their way. Finally, they brought the chiles en nogada, and when my mom tried hers, it tasted weird, and she said she thought it was spoiled. My grandma was like, "Really?" and tried hers, and she said, "Mine doesn't taste good either." Then my mom tried both chiles en nogada, and they were definitely bad. The waiters were very rude and annoyed at us for coming at the restaurant at 4pm on a Saturday… ok?? When we were seated and ordered our food, they only brought our drinks and we waited for an hour for us to realize they lost our meal order completely. We then reiterated our order to the waiter again and out of all the things we wanted we only got the appetizer, the 2 main courses were lost again, mind you we waited 30 minutes for the appetizer. I went here with my wife and baby looking for a place that would be baby friendly and comfortable to dine at with a stroller. Toks was the perfect fit. The staff was understanding and let us pick where we wanted to sit. The food was a good value for the money and was pretty tasty. The sodas were carbonated properly and served with the right amount of ice. The entrees were served at the right temperature. When we're looking for a no-fuss experience, we'll be coming...
