El Patio Grill Progreso — Restaurant in Progreso

We came here twice. It was on our list of restaurants to try, but we ended up here both times because the places we tried first were closed. Bonus points to El Patio for being open when they say they will be open: it must be hard to stick to the schedule even during the off-season when there are fewer people looking for restaurants. Both times, there were no other customers in the restaurant, but the guys there jumped right up, welcomed us, turned on the fan, and turned up the music so the vibe was very good. We just got chicken wings and margaritas both times, but the wings were very good and the margaritas were legit. We've had mixed experiences with cocktails on this trip, so it was nice to just get a decent drink for a decent price. The fries were good and came in a bowl with a cheesy sauce on top that was nice. Asked a week before if hé was able to put the sport saturday. Told us he will get the évent, made us Wait from 4 to 6 and decided hé didnt want to Do it anymore. So we waited 2 hours, and missed the évent because he made us Wait instead of letting us find another place to get it. Irresponsable and disrespectful. Worst way possible to...

We are visiting from Canada. And we absolutely loved the food at El Patio! It was some of the best steak we've ever eaten. We will definitely return and recommend this restaurant. The staff was great and even played our favorite music...
