Domu Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Puebla

If it weren't for the poor service, I would have given it 5 stars. The food was amazing, the ambiance was great and I love the way the side is designed. The prices are incredible. But the service was very bad. They were not attentive, we had to keep waving down servers to order even our drinks and then food. There was a table next to us that arrived 5 minutes after us and they had their food already before we could even order because the servers were not paying attention. I ordered a macha tea and the mug was dirty. They had plenty of servers, so it's a problem of bad management. This place could be so amazing if the management gets better organized. It felt like there was no solid organization for the servers and how they served and paid attention to the tables. Actually, this is the only place I've been in PUEBLA that has had bad service. Puebla Restaurants usually have excellent service....

If you want to go to a restaurant that truly prides itself on Japanese cuisine, this is the last place you want to visit.

It’s evident that the owners prioritize atmosphere over cuisine quality. I ordered a sashimi platter and all cuts were wet, meaning they had been recently thawed. The edamame I ordered was supposed to be charred and when I first received them, they were wet and soggy. Way too much sea salt to the point the little flavor the edamames carried was practically gone.

The roll I ordered was also soggy and wet from the water the fish was releasing. Incredibly disappointing place to eat. Would not recommend.

El lugar es bonito pero la decoración de los baños es tétrica y el color todo negro en el restaurante hace que luzca sucio más que elegante. El ambiente parece más de un bar que el de una barra de sushi cosa que en lo personal no me agradó con la música a todo lo que daba; no sé si entendí mal la definición "sushi bar" y su alegoría era justo a que es más un bar. Los menús estaban llenos de grasa y los meseros no se ponían de acuerdo entre varios sobre cual debía de atendernos. Cuando nos asignaron la mesa, ésta no estaba calzada y se movía bastante cosa que trataron de solucionar sin éxito alguno después de dos intentos. Pedimos un tiradito de salmón curado que estaba super salado, unas robatoyaki de cerdo secas y con tendones lamentablemente y posterior a eso vino el sushi: el tigger cortado de forma irregular y con una mayo de chipotle muy espesa: el arroz demasiado dulce hacía que comer el rollo fuese una ardua labor y la consistencia de los rollos no era agradable; a eso siguió el tartufo roll que la verdad dejamos casi completo por que la combinación de pulpas del relleno con el arroz, la salsa y el chicharrón de salmón lo hacía algo practicamente incomible; eso si, o demerito que la presentación de éste si era bonita. Y pedimos un pescado con puré de coliflor el cual tenía agradable sabor pero estaba seco y el puré estaba pasado de sal y con un gusto notable a algún sazonador procesado. Las bebidas pasadas de alcohol y el kame hame ha me sorprendió con su decorado pero la oblea estaba rancia. Pedí un calpis frío que me llevaron a la mesa tibio y buscando entibiarse entre el conjunto de hielos del vaso. Que lamentable fue toda la experiencia...
