AL MARE — Restaurant in Puerto Morelos

We had an amazing evening coordinated and hosted by the Executive Chef Carlos, chef Adam, Pastry Chef Elsy and our amazing waiters Ricardo and Alejandro.

There were four of us dining (us and our two teen boys) and we felt like royalties.

We had a five course meal, each very unique and full of original flavors. The presentation for each of the courses was superbly composed, the flavors were tastefully combined and assorted. Of course, the culmination of the meal was the delicious raspberry flavored dessert topped with perfectly baked meringue.

I have to say, we did dine at Le Chique restaurant at the Azul resort. Compared to our experience here, Al Mare topped the quality and experience. Definitely a must experience for everyone visiting The Five’s Oceanfront resort. Our complements...

We stayed at the Fives Oceanfront for a couple of nights & ate here for our first dinner while on vacation. We had the scallops & lumpfish caviar appetizer, the bolognese, and the seafood fettuccine. We were very satisfied with everything. All the seafood, including scallops & mussels, tasted so fresh. The bolognese sauce was very meaty & savory. We had the praline desert & a coconut pannacotta & the coconut was my favorite. Both sweet & a little salty, I could’ve eaten over & over & not get tired of it. They make the pasta noodles in house. I could tell since my fettuccine noodles were inconsistent in shape & tasted fresh. The decor & ambiance was very romantic. This is such an amazing restaurant that I went here twice in a row. Leon was our waiter for those two nights and he was amazing. He was nice, charming and very good at his job. I love this place so much. If you go on the patio, you have a nice view of the beautiful water and their food is incredible. On the first nice I had a Margherita pizza which was absolutely delicious. On the second night, I had a Pesto Pasta which was amazing and superb. The pesto tasted amazing and I usually have nice pestos at home but this was a different level.
