First meal in Puerto Morelos, I wasn't ready for the amount of mosquitoes we would encounter. I got bit to hell waiting for dinner then eating. We ordered margaritas, they use bagged ice so there was no issue drinking them as ordered. I ordered tacos and my husband ordered the meat feast tostada. Both very tasty but holy moly it took forever for them to finally come out. I assume it's a small kitchen and there were four other tables seated. The tacos were small but pretty good. The toastada was excellent but also quite small. Had we realized earlier we would have ordered more. It took so long for our food to come, it was quite hot and the mosquitoes were so bad we ended up ordering several more margaritas. We eventually realized we could order doubles so we did that for a couple more rounds. Needless to say, I was extremely hungover but they were delicious margaritas đ I'd eat there again, it's worth...
Read moreBlue Morelos locally owned husband and wife team culinary team. The menu more westernized & chef driven than your typical Mexican street tacos and tostadas - the price point is a bit higher - but so is the quality. For instance, you will find blue corn tortillas and they also make excellent homemade hummus and have a few Vegan options alongside your beef, chicken and local seafood. They have a nice selection of alcoholic drinks on their menu that are 2 for 1 -24/7 The service is efficient. They accept Visa & American Express Credit cardsâŚthey have about 7-8 small tables outside and 2-3 tables indoors near the kitchen & bar. The vibe of the establishment isnât really unique in anyway or particularly stylish - butâŚI saw only expats & tourists here- no locals, you wonât find 5 or 6 tacos for $60 Pesos here - more like 2 for $89 pesos - but the food QUALITY is on point & the...
Read moreWas hankering for fish tacos all week and I heard this place had good food. And they were good but everything else ruined the experience. The place is tiny and always full... except for one. However before I even sat down they told me there was no space. Even with one table free I was happy to get takeout but then a lone tourist comes in right after me and they offer him a table!!! In addition to that when they tell me they don't have takeout cups, I asked to cancel the drink but they guilt me into getting it anyway saying they already made it. It was orange juice. There wasn't even any alcohol in it. It wasn't fresh. They could have just used it for someone else. I literally stood there waiting for 20 mins for 2 small fish tacos reluctantly drinking the precious OJ. There are plenty of good taco places without the hassles. And this place is not worth...
