This will be our first and last time going to this place. RoMarley needs to hire someone to update his website. It is not at all detailed. We booked a “1-bdrm suite with an ocean view”, but when arrived we had a partial ocean view and the suite was smaller. We later found out we were looking at pictures of the 2-bdrom suite with an ocean view, which is false advertisement. We didn’t have any balcony privacy, which was awkward if you want to use the jacuzzi. There were only 2 places to eat and room service. The Mexican Grille is $75/person which only served snacks and the restaurant menu downstairs was very limited and they didn’t bother to tell you what wasn’t available. If you’re a picky eater like myself and you attempt to specify what you don’t want or want to substitute something forget about it. They will serve you what they want to serve you, including room service. To make matters worse they only gave us 2 small bath towels for a 4-day stay. When I asked housekeeping for more towels, they didn’t even have any. They had to check 2 vacant rooms. This place charges you a “room service delivery fee” every time you order something from them, which was NEVER stated anywhere on the website. One of the staff stated they had started charging that fee “a week and half ago”. Upon check in, we were told that since we had the “All Inclusive Package” that our fridge would be restocked with beverages daily. That was not the case. One day I had to call 3 times in order to get it restocked. Then upon check out, we were charged a “beverage room service fee” and a “few room service delivery fees”. The only highlight of our stay was our waitress, NAYELI, at the RBH restaurant. She was very nice, patient, and accommodating. I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday and she came back with a slice of chocolate cake, a candle, and a few other staff singing Happy Birthday in Spanish. She served us a few more times after that and we tipped her really well. …and when my order was incorrect she made sure it...
Read moreGreat first time in Mexico. Pretty well done, I have to say love the Bob Marley playing in the hallways the place is huge, the all inclusive was cool I just had a weekend so waiting on service for food was not an option getting instant food is not a thing it's remote though so it has a primal feel to when you get food feels like waiting for a hunter to bring food, honestly would have given 5 stars if the staff wasn't so prying to having other friends come to your room especially when they are clearly not a local but another international traveler they will literally tell them to wait at the entrance it's totally humiliating charging an extra $hundred to have someone you were intending to meet later is madness. Honestly, I was expecting worst but they almost got it down pat. The staff was not used to the large black group I was with they were hovering with helicopter upselling and meta micro management, but they are professional fun staff the hookah staff are amazing quick, very professional and very talented staff if you give them the opportunity to serve they will go out of their way to accommodate your needs nearly anything for their guests they went the extra mile and the taxis outside will take you to the airport no problem, admittedly did not leave the area aside from that as the taxis linger and stay there trading information all the time and much better to have concise dealings with them, near perfect I haven't even seen all of the spa and rooftop in action either so this just my...
Read moreWhat can I say, when I arrived I was greeted by a very pleasant and jovial staff. They took all my required documents and while I wasn’t able to go to my room, I did have access to the entire resort from the time I arrived. Moises and the other waiters at the main restaurant were very pleasant and friendly. They held conversations with me even though I’m a novice when it came to speaking Spanish. They attended to me very well and attentively. I was pleasantly surprised when I received an upgrade to an ocean front suite that allowed me to wake up early every morning to enjoy the sun rise. They were very helpful with my every need and question. The Mayan sunset show on Friday evening was very delightful and interesting. However, while I enjoyed that the resort was not sprallingly large and there weren’t lots of guests, it was kind of hard to get a beach chair on the beach sometimes. The one time I was able to get one, unfortunately, I was ignored by the wait staff in the area where I was relaxing. Everyone around me was being waited after hand and foot while I had to walk to the bar by the pool when I wanted something to drink. I did manage to wave down a waiter to get me a drink and a bottle of water and I had to ask someone who wasn’t a waiter for some lunch. That was 3 hours after being on the beach and it was only after that that a waiter came over and asked me if I wanted anything. At that point i had just returned from the bar and had a full drink so I wasn’t in need...
