Well, where to begin. Probably with pros, because it’s just one - location. That’s it. Now moving on.

First is the food, probably the worst Mexican food I ever had in all the countries I’ve visited. The dish we ordered for my daughter was an easy version of ACP with only rice and chicken, it wasn’t on the menu, but the waiter said it wasn’t a problem. Well, they changed us $199 for it, which is ridiculous, especially because it was awful. We didn’t even get a fork, so I had to go and ask for it. The chicken was so dry, I couldn’t break it into smaller pieces without a knife. The rice was very plain. In short, my daughter ate two forks of rice and refused the rest.

For my brother’s order, we had to wait 30 minutes to hear that they couldn’t make it and he had to choose something else. After waiting another 20 minutes, he finally got his entree, but ate only a half because it just wasn’t that good.

My fish tacos were dry and plain, my husband’s fajitas arrived with more dry chicken and decent pico de gallo (the star of the show).

Now to the worst. They tried to overcharge us. Twice. First by saying their credit card terminal wasn’t working (“We don’t know why”), and we needed to use an ATM downstairs, which conveniently gives you only USD. The price in the bill was in two currencies, and the USD version was $17(25%) more. My husband went to a nearby supermarket to use another ATM (with pesos). While he was out, my brother noticed that they overcharged us for two different items by 20 pesos each. It’s not much, but come on! When we pointed it out to the waiter, he said he gave us an old menu, after few minutes he said: “it is my second day on this job”… It really bothers me, because with such a nice location, even without doing anything with the interior of the place, they could have had decent food and service, especially...

Huge disappointment. The location is beautiful, on a nice terrace with a great view of the center of town. That’s the only plus, unfortunately. This might have been the worst Mexican food I’ve had in any country, including a few in Eastern Europe and Asia. (And this is Mexico!) The chicken for my fajitas was dry and flavorless, not even as good as Taco Bell on a bad day, like when it’s been left out for way too long. My wife’s fish tacos were flat-out gross. Our margaritas were watery.

Prices were ridiculously high, but they also “accidentally” padded the price of 2 drinks and 1 entree, adding 40 pesos to our bill. The waiter kept trying to take the menus back when he saw us adding up the prices on our phones. The real scam was telling us their credit card terminal was broken and directing me to a specific ATM downstairs. Our bill showed the price in pesos, about 80 USD, and in US dollars, $98. That’s a 25% premium for paying in dollars, but why would they even quote us a price in USD at all? Aren’t we in Mexico? Turns out, this conveniently located ATM only dispenses USD. (?!?!) Probably for another ridiculous fee (fortunately I knew the area well enough and went to a real ATM at a nearby supermarket).

My advice to anyone who’s here for a while: wait for this place to go out of business—shouldn’t take long—and then give the next restaurant that opens here a fair shot. Hopefully they’ll learn from the previous tenant and work hard to serve quality food at a fair price. This location...

We ate here yesterday. From the beginning, I had a bad vibe from the place when the woman that works there wearing a cap and a fanny pack was extremely pushy trying to sit us when we were just looking for the menu on the street. We finally caved in and sit. We ordered three pizzas and a Singapore for my sister. The pizzas were ok nothing spectacular... What was annnoying is that after 30 minutes my sister Singapore dish never showed up even after she came after ten minutes of ordering asking if it was chicken or shrimp? Are you kidding me? We patiently wait, and 20 min later the dish never came we finally told her, my sister did not want the dish anymore. After that she got annoyed and came and tried to take the dishes from us even though we were still eating and brought the bill (we never asked for it). In two opportunities she tried to remove dishes and clear the table while we were eating and not asked for it. Finally when we asked for the bill she cross the cancelled dish, but the amount was still charged on the bill. After reviewing the bill and make her substract the amount of the dish that never came out, the bill was overcharged by around 500 pesos. My advise to anybody eating here, would be to always check the Menu prices and add all the bill items yourself at the end. This was not only a dismal and annoying experience but also you'll be overcharged. Couple of times I felt the service was so bad that I was being prank on some Hidden camera show. Just my...

I ate at the upstairs location, it was 11am and when I arrived I found a quaint set up with simple, comfortable tables and chairs with a small flower on each. It’s so nice having that view over the plaza. I was their first customer of the day and the server recommended the omelette so I ordered that. For advertising a breakfast menu, their drinks were sorely amiss: the coffee was so weak and flavorless and the orange juice had a bright yellow tint to it. I was hopeful that the food would make my choice worth it and it absolutely did. The cheese they used was so delicious and the fillings were plentiful. The servers were kind and helpful and they had a screen playing some Latin music videos.

One star for the kitchen is too much. EVERYTHING we ordered was extremely stale. The chips, the tacos... even the Coke was flat. The texture was very unsatisfactory, and the taste was horrendous. The only positive note for this restaurant was the service. They agreed to not make us pay for the appetizer (chips and guacamole). Otherwise, BIG TOURIST TRAP, RUN AWAY! Get some way more authentic (and not-past-expiration-date) tacos in Joaquin Zetina Gasca. Ambiance was touristy. Obviously.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is amazing. I had the seafood tacos combination with a side of guacamole and a margarita. The tacos were incredible. Make sure to get some avocado sauce on the side. The guacamole was made fresh after I ordered it so it took a few minutes. The margarita was not watered down at all and I only needed one lol.
