My wife and I ate here for lunch and had fish tacos and the old timer burger. My wife asked for grilled fish in the fish taco and they were happy to change it. Both meals were generous portions and tasted great. We have been to Mexico many times and my biggest complaint was always the beef, as I found it sub par to the USA, but the restaurant owner (Anthony) who was a great guy informed us that he imports the beef for that very reason. Definitely worth the trip to Puerto morelos. I'm so glad to have a burger that tasted like home! They take pride in there food, the owner even photographed my burger, probably because it looked so perfect. I saw a post before we went saying the fries had a funny seasoning, I'm guessing that person has not eaten at many places because it was oregeno and salt, and very little oregeno, which to me isn't wierd especially since they serve Greek food. At first the combination of Greek, Mexican and American food seemed odd till we spoke to the owner. He is originally from America, then lived in Greece, then moved to Mexico where he met his wife. A great story to say the least, but he brought with him the best quizines from each of the places he lived. It was a great location and the staff was quick and friendly and the food was reasonably priced. Make the trip and you won't be disappointed. Thank you again Anthony we will see you soon. If you read this link me a picture of my burger so I can show...
Read moreI was walking by and attracted to the large upstairs open air dining room with views of the surrounding plaza. Then I noticed they have live music, even on a Monday! Looks like 4-5 nights a week they have a different genre of live music - love that. It drew me in and although I had already eaten, I sat down for a drink. I was excited to finally try the local brewery Pescadores which they have the IPA and the Amber in bottle.
As the jazz music was still playing and I was enjoying the breeze I then ordered a mudslide. It was pretty small for a blended drink but it was yummy. I went upstairs to the 3rd level to find they have another huge area with many tables, a large open bar with bar seats and great views. Inside I also loved the decor and plants which brought so much to the ambiance. Alexis the hostess was so kind to greet me at the door, and make conversation with me at my table since I was alone.
Another employee helped connect to the Wi-Fi which worked well. I didn’t have any food but my mouth watered at every plate that went by - I was coveting those towering burgers! I hope I get to return in the future...
Read moreWe had a great time celebrating my dad’s 50th birthday at La Sirena. Paolo was very attentive and patient as we took some time not only waiting for our entire party to arrive but to also ordering drinks and food. The margaritas and piña coladas were sweet and delicious- I’d highly recommend them. The food took some time to get to our table but it was delicious as well. I would suggest the pasta carbonara, the BBQ wings or any of the burgers. Coming from NYC everything was very reasonably priced. Both Paolo and Rodrigo were available for any additional requests we had and to clean the table in anticipation for my dad’s surprise birthday cake/dessert. We got a round of vanilla tequila shots that were amazing because they didn’t burn going down which was a shock for all of us, so much that four of us ended up buying bottles from them (they have a store inside the restaurant that sells full size bottles of tequila). Over all we had a wonderful time, and were bummed to have missed out on the live salsa band the night before. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting...
