If you are staying at Moon Palace Cancun and love Indian cuisine, Agra is an absolute must‑visit! From the very moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, genuine welcome from the host and staff that instantly makes you feel like a valued guest. The décor and ambience are stunning—elegant lighting, intricate details, and a calm, refined atmosphere that feels like true fine dining while still being relaxed enough to enjoy with family or friends.
The service here is exceptional—many other guests rave about how attentive and knowledgeable the team is, and we experienced the same. They guide you through the menu with care, explaining dishes and spice levels, and never rushing you even on busy nights. A dinner reservation is absolutely essential, as this place is incredibly popular and tables fill up quickly.
Now, the food… simply bursting with authentic flavours! Every dish we tried was vibrant and beautifully presented. The curries, the tandoori selections, the fresh naan—each bite was rich and layered, just like you’d expect from top‑tier Indian cuisine. A friendly tip from both our experience and other reviews: if you’re adventurous with spice, try the vindaloo—but know that they truly make it authentic, fiery hot! For most, sticking to their medium‑spice options will let you fully enjoy the complexity of the flavors without overpowering heat.
Other guests have praised their beautiful plating, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced seasonings, and we couldn’t agree more. The portions are generous, and you can tell everything is made with care. Pair your meal with one of their excellent cocktails or a glass of wine, and you have a memorable evening ahead.
All in all, Agra delivers finger‑licking good food in an elegant setting, with a team that treats you like family while maintaining the feel of a fine‑dining experience. Truly one of the highlights of Moon Palace...
Read moreThis is the first time I am posting a negative review about anything. Agra was a big disappointment and a completely waste of our evening in Cancun. Please spend your time elsewhere at a better restaurant. The waiters Manuel and another lady with glasses and curly hair treated us very bad. They questioned us about why we wanted to order certain dishes when we already had food on our table. They served us left overs of the paneer tikka . I should have taken a picture but we were utterly shocked to even react. The food is sweet and tastes like cinnamon. Only the paneer tikka was good because my daughter found that non spicy but we couldn’t feed her that as we were sure it was somebody’s left over. The waitress with curly hair and glasses kept removing dishes away from our tables even when we were in the middle of eating (I am sure it was to serve as leftovers for another table) When we questioned this behavior and asked for her name she was no where to be found. The waiter Manuel smirked and watched us leave the restaurant in glee. They seemed to treat people with a different skin color different than Indians . Sorry to say but felt ashamed of this disgusting hospitality. The good reviews are paid reviews . So not waste your time and find better for yourselves and...
Read moreThis place is fantastic. I am not lying when I say we ate here every day while we stayed at the resort. The minute we checked in, the host Ana and the Manager Omar, took great care of us. They would great us with a smile on their faces. After being seated, Alexis, Alfredo and Pamela took great care of us. I know I may be missing one or two more people and I apologize for that, but I cannot say how well the staff there took care of us. My daughter has a nut allergy and they assured us that whatever we will be ordering will not have any nuts.
The staff was on top of whatever we needed and would even give their honest recommendations if we are debating on what to order.
My entire family can attest that everything on the menu is great and I this restaurant is one reason why we stay at this resort when...
