Pier 8 Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We went here two nights before we were meant to leave, the first night I had the fish tacos and then for a main my partner and I shared a seafood platter. It was so good, we made it our final meal in the resort!! The second night I got the seafood cocktail and my partner and I once again shared the seafood platter.

The fish taco starters were not my favourite, but still very nice. The seafood cocktail starter was not what I expected, but incredible. It was a very generous portion of cold seafood, like scallops, prawns, calamari rings and it was in a tomato sauce that was delicious.

The seafood platter was to die for. It was such a good portion for two people and every single thing on the plate was outstanding and cooked to perfection. Our server was Giovani. I had a disappointing experience at Pier 8 restaurant in Moon Palace Cancun. Despite clearly stating that we do not consume alcohol due to religious reasons, they served us a drink that was clearly spiked with alcohol. This lack of respect for our beliefs and dietary restrictions is unacceptable, especially in an establishment that should cater to diverse needs. The staff's negligence in ensuring our dietary preferences were respected ruined what could have been an enjoyable dining experience. After this traumatic experience I was scared to enjoy my drinks. It ended our trip with a horrible remark on moon palace. Giovani didn’t act like this was a mistake, he seemed like he did this on purpose. Disgusting...

Now this place has a new name- Pier 8 seafood restaurant The new seafood restaurant at Sunrise Moon Palace. Great location, great food, great people. The entire dinner was fun, food was tasty but the fish a little bit too dry but this was not an issues. The food presentation was great, the atmosphere was hip. Thank you Señor Josafat, chef Nemias,Ricardo, our waiter Julio for fun night out. Thank you all for your hard work. Thank you Miriam Sanchis for introducing us to this new place.
