This was our favorite place to eat at Moon Palace in Cancun. One of our sons has a gluten allergy. We were worried about finding him something to eat, but were pleased to find MANY options throughout the entire resort. Our first night we tried out Bugambilias because tacos are a crowd pleaser and usually easy to get gluten free. Our main server, Xiunel , put our worries to rest as he took a very thorough order, detailing exactly what our son could have and offering many options. To top it off, he did this in a way that was relaxing and fun. He had us rolling with his stories and his antics. We can tell he has a passion for customer care. Throughout our stay we went to this restaurant a couple more times. Omar, German, and Jorge also helped us. Jorge even took the jar of chocolate covered almonds, that weren’t clearly marked gluten free, to the back for the chef to give a clear answer on whether our son could have them or not. The first person we encountered, at the dessert station, just said “I don’t know” and would not find out. Jorge went above and beyond! Our son, the taco fanatic, says Bugambilias has the BEST tacos...
Read moreThe issue with this buffet are the hours. Unlike buffets in Vegas which open from breakfast time then continue to lunch time, here they close at 11am then re-open at 12:30. Other than that Bugambilias and Gondola are the two buffets that are open for lunch. A few restaurants by the pool are open for lunch but don’t have much choices and you’re eating with the intense heat. The Bugambilias is noisier than the Gondola which feels more upscale. Service is great as the waiters/waitresses will attend to your needs. Lots of choices when it comes to food but keep in mind this is a buffet. In terms of seafood, there is no oysters, no lobster, clams or crab. We had dinner there and didn’t see any of them. At dinner time, this is where people eat if they couldn’t make a reservation at one of the specialty restaurants. At lunch time, there are so many dishes, a lot are local dishes (my guess), several varieties of ceviches. I saw one Greek chicken dish. I think you should come here for lunch rather...
Read moreThe busser/server named Juana who worked at June 10, around 6-8pm. We tried to flag her down and she pretended to ignore us. We’ve been sat and eating for 10 minutes already and no one gave us anything to drink. We tried to flag her down but she didnt make eye contact and so i said excuse me, and she still didnt make eye contact but she came over and asked what we needed. For a place people pay so much money, we expect respect, and great customer service. I hope your manager sees this review. I don’t care what kind of day you had, but that’s irrelevant to us. We should still get...
