Carolinda Beach Club — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

We had such a bad experience service wise. To get our first drink it took about half an hour and the place wasn't even full. We also ordered some food at the same time as our drinks and waited for about an hour until we enquired about it. The guy asked what we ordered. He came back after a while and asked again. He finally came back with two salads instead of one (he let us have both and didn't charge for the one we didn't order, which was appreciated), then asked again what tacos we ordered. Since we were staying in the hotel next-door, we were entitled to a 15% discount, so when I asked for the bill I told him we were staying in the hotel next door. When the bill came the discount wasn't applied. When it was finally applied and we paid, we had to wait for about 15/20 minutes to get our change back, I had to stand up ask and wait for it. They came back to me with about $147 missing change, so once again I had to ask for it. When they finally gave me the missing change it was still missing about $4 but at that point I just wanted to leave and wasn't willing to stay any longer so said it was perfect. On the other hand, food was good and drinks were ok but overpriced. They have this 3 to 6 happy hour but drinks cost twice as much as elsewhere (didn't try another beach club but at least from other restaurants we tried), so at the end it seems like the happy hour is just a marketing strategy and there is no real happy hour after all. Place looks nice, they have a ping pong table, hammocks... It is really a shame we had that experience as the place has potential and apparently other people have had good experiences from what...

Best beach club in Holbox. David the bartender is the best!!! 🍹 the drinks are so well prepared. The girls are so friendly and always super helpful. Food: this place will surprise you.. because the menu is well balanced and the different dishes are so fresh and delicious. The ambiance is just superb. This is a hidden pearl of Holbox. I can’t stop bringing friends and everyone loves it. The hammocks on the water, the paddle board and kayaks will make your stay So amazing, this is more than a beach Club is a place to gather with friends and family and create wonderful lifetime memories. And if you stay in the soul sister property Ensueño... your trip will be perfect! This is my third time in Holbox and after visiting other Hotels and beach clubs. Now I won’t change it. Carolina is the best...

10/10. Best spot to spend the day on the island. I’ve been on the island for 7 months and I have tried basically every beach club and this place is absolutely my favorite. I recommend this place for everyone that enters the island. Fabulous for photos because they have swings and hammocks and even a giant group sized hammock. I would die for the shrimp quesadillas they are so good. Also, the service here is the best of the best. They truly make you feel at home here. If you go, ask for Axel. He will 100% make you feel like you’re his best friend...
