I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saffron that left me absolutely mesmerized. Not only was the food divine, but the view and atmosphere were simply stunning. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by an ambiance that was both elegant and cozy. As I settled into my seat, I couldn't help but be captivated by the breathtaking view of the surrounding scenery.
Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish that graced the table was a masterpiece in its own right. The flavors were expertly crafted, and every bite was a delightful explosion of taste. From the appetizers to the desserts, the quality and presentation were top-notch. It was evident that the chefs poured their heart and soul into each culinary creation.
What truly set this restaurant apart, though, was the combination of delectable food and the picturesque setting. As I enjoyed my meal, I found myself constantly gazing out the window, awestruck by the beauty of the landscape. The panoramic view added a layer of enchantment to the dining experience, making it truly unforgettable.
The carefully designed atmosphere further enhanced my dining pleasure. The decor, lighting, and music all worked together to create a warm and inviting ambiance. It was the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort, making me feel both indulged and at ease.
In conclusion, this restaurant is a hidden gem that delivers on all fronts. The food is exceptional, the view is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is enchanting. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a memorable dining experience with friends, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. Prepare to be amazed by the culinary delights and the captivating...

Charged 260 pesos per bottle of water, whereas every other restaurant and section of the Banyan Tree resort had free water. Requested still water, received no indication from our waiter that there would be a charge for the bottles. 260 pesos is an egregious price, no matter how nice the water is.
The fried veggie rolls were overly greasy and not very crispy. Tasted like the pack of frozen Costco rolls you can bake in the oven. The fresh veggies rolls only had some julienned carrots, chopped lettuce, and mushrooms, there was no seasoning and nothing special done to enhance the dish. Absolutely disappointing for 500 pesos.
The chicken lemongrass soup was good, but the chicken itself was quite dry. The soup was slightly too sweet and could have used some more complexity in flavours.
The chef special, red curry with grouper, was well made, but lacked dimension and was certainly not worth the excessive price of 900 pesos.
The server was kind enough to bring a complementary dessert, as we were celebrating our recent engagement, but I would still not recommend this place to anyone staying at Banyan Tree Mayakoba. Compared to the fantastic quality and selection at both Oriente and Sands, I am sorely disappointed by the food quality.
I have had substantially better Thai food in similarly gorgeous spaces for far less than this. Considering every worker on premise raves about Saffron being the signature location to eat at, management really needs to step up on the quality of the food at...
Read moreIt was a night to remember! My date and I were in search of a nice dinner spot and we both were craving Asian food. We were really fortunate to get a last minute reservation so if you don’t want to email, just give a call! It’s about 20 minute taxi ride from the center and you have to get through two security checkpoints then take a golf cart to the restaurant so prepare for that. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly. The place was gorgeous and romantic at night. They put a flower in my hair before seating me which was a lovely touch. We ordered the appetizer sampler(best option) and also got to enjoy some bread/rice cake with dipping sauces as well a bit of papaya salad from the chef. I’m extremely picky about food in general, especially Thai food and this exceeded my expectations for a non-authentic place. Yes, it’s not authentic. I’m Thai! There take on it is just fabulous though. My date ordered the massaman and I ordered the tiger prawn. The massaman was absolutely delicious with the naan and rice. I loved it more than my dish which was a bit on the saltier side but still lovely. I might’ve stolen some of the curry sauce to eat with the prawns. These portions are PERFECT. We were able to finish everything and have room for dessert. Fried bananas were so light and yummy. No complaints from me. We did order drinks, I just forgot which ones but both were great. This is not the place to come to if you’re on a budget or want the most authentic food. It’s...
