AVOID! SCAM WITH UPCHARGE PRICING

I live in Puerto Aventura and Ive visited this place many times for decent (not the best) tacos for their cheap price.

We ordered 2 tacos, 1 torta and Gringa. The server applied $80 upcharge and explained that the it’s a bigger size so instead of $20, they have to add $80.

I am an Asian which is very rare here. I pretended that I don’t speak fluent Spanish and I asked him why it wasn’t informed before. He eventually reduced it down to $50.

When I started to reason with him in Spanish, he removed the charge.

This is the reason why so many tourists have bad experience at a such a beautiful paradise of Mexico.

They will take advantage of all the tourists and demand unfair charges to make a quick buck.

Avoid this dishonest place and go to another taco place which is right down the street.

I hope that pathetic attempt to make a quick buck was worth it because you’ve now lost a loyal local who brought so much...

To start. We gave this place 3 chances. Each time without fail, there were extra charges that we had no ordered. The reason we gave them chances was we thought at one point they’d actually stop scamming people. But they didn’t. Pay close attention to your bill or I would even suggest to get it right after you order before your meal. Lucky for us we were able to point out specifically what was on the menu and what was charged. Just doesn’t add up. They mentioned we ordered a large but how can we order a large when there is only one size on the menu. They added cokes when none of the people at the table drink coke. It would have been a great place for tourists if they didn’t try to...

Smaller. Menu, but what they do, they do so well. The chorizo, and al pastor are really really good, but the star of the show is the castakan. Crispy pork belly Tacos. The smash potatoes are also really good. Quick turnaround on the service. Really tasty and pretty affordable compared to the rest of Puerto Aventuras. Friendly staff and great sauces. No liquor license but have great fruit juices. Went 3x during our week long trip. Highly recommend.
