Friendly staff but one of the guys who seemed to be maybe the manager assured us his “drink suggestions” weren’t higher than what we originally asked for. He upsold us on a different beer even tho I asked if it’s the same price for the michalada. My friend wanted a tequila sunrise and he suggested this “special” drink they do instead. My friend should have checked the price but didn’t because he felt pressured and was happy to try this new drink. When the bill came all of our cost more than what was said on the menu. My friends tequila sunrise would have been 125 and instead he was charged 320 for his. Which was just a slushy mojito with one ounce of tequila. Our michaladas were charged more even after he assured me they wouldn’t be. The guy disappeared for lots of the day so we did the math and was going to leave cash. He saw us and quickly came and counted our cash and said not enough, ran away and we noticed the upcharges we had to hunt down one of the female servers to finally be able to pay and leave. Would not recommend even though the lounges are nice. Make sure you verify prices before ordering and check...
Read moreWe had a great time having a leisurely weekday lunch at the beach. My husband and I are not seafood people (yes, I know, we live in seafood heaven), but when we have friends in town, we still like to give them the opportunity to enjoy los mariscos. My dad was visiting Puerto Vallarta for the first time, so we took him to San Pancho for lunch and tried Oliva’s based on their beachside spot and good reviews.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and my dad talked about how good the his meal was for days. My husband and I didn’t have high expectations for the arrachera tacos and burritos since that wasn’t their focus, but even they were very good. Loved my Piña Mezcalitas, too.
Friendly service, prices are a little high, but as expected for the scenery and town. We will definitely go back to Oliva’s when in San Pancho, even...
Read moreWe had their new, after sunset, high end dinner on the beach and it was fantastic! Tables are set up during sunset and they seat you shortly after. We started with drinks that Edwin, our server, recommended for us. They were unique and looked like art in a glass. The apps were amazing. Not usually a fan of charcuterie, but they did it right! There wasn’t a crumb left on the board. The main course was perfect. Most in our group ordered fresh sea bass, but no one had a complaint. They shave fresh coconut for the shrimp! Most in town are frozen from Costco. Really made a difference.
All in all there isn’t one thing that wasn’t perfect. We’ll...
