Cañita is a culinary gem in San Miguel de Allende and a true surprise. From the very beginning, the variety of craft beers is impressive, each one better than the last, elevating the dining experience.
We started with the chicken croquettes, which didn’t seem too promising at first, but turned out to be a revelation: incredible flavor, excellent presentation, and a perfect balance of textures. Then came the fried gnocchi, striking the ideal balance between crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The salad, fresh and made with locally sourced ingredients, showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality. But the true star of the meal was the shrimp risotto: impeccable texture and deep, rich flavor that made it the highlight of the afternoon.
The pork belly sandwich, while incredibly tender, could have used a bolder sauce to enhance it, and the sourdough bread was slightly over-toasted.

The food was out of this world! A Spicy Shrimp Risotto was incredible, a special "Green Salad" was so good it surprised us (I never order "green salads" but this was on a while different level!), the pork belly sandwich was very popular with the carnivores, and the miso roasted eggplant melted in your melt.
So fresh, lots of veg and non-veg options, and great flavours. The music was quiet enough to talk, but loud enough to provide a fun background. The service was knowledgeable and present, but not intrusive. In short -- we are already planning our next visit. I hesitate to tell anyone how amazing this place is -- I want to keep it to myself. But I also want to make sure that places like Cañita...

I love the place it’s outside spaces, it bright and sunny during the day. In the evening the interior rooms are warm and comfortable. I do find 300 pesos for a can of specialty Stout a hard sell even...
