*Updated review This place still has good food, but SERVICE is starting to slip. I ordered steak Nachos, with only 3 ingredients, and the kitchen made it with all ingredients that I didn't want, the bar tender said that she can't tell kitchen to make it at customers request, just smilled and said oh well. I mentioned that you should let customers know, that they can't order what they want, regardless if their paying $ Money. Employees here are NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ORINTATED,. The food was good, and place is nice, just needs better management of Employees and service training, for cocktails . *Updated review * The customer service still hasn't changed. VERY POOR SERVICE FROM EMPLOYEES. Had the 2 for 1 burgers special and requested the second burger when I left because I wanted to take it home for family and wanted it hot. I was told NO, and that they could not do that. Both burgers had to be cooked together and I could take the other one home. It's attitudes like this that makes American Tourists get upset! Simple requests are not done. I would have stayed longer and spent more money $$$ at the bar, but now have to leave so I can get burgers...

Out of the nearly 300 reviews I have done on restaurants less than 5 were uncomplimentary. La Chop had a thoroughly dishonest set up for the Super Bowl. I tried to make a reservation through their website and got a a message back that due to staff busyness that my reservation couldn't be acted upon. So we walked from our hotel to La Chope a few hours later to see if we could make one in person. We were told by staff there were no reservations being taken and it was all first come, first serve. So we show up at 6:00pm and there is a line. I asked if we could be added to the list and was told I needed to stand aside and wait. Then 5 minutes later I asked "How do you have a list for reservations if your staff just a few hours ago were saying they were not accepting any?" He said the list was started at 5:30pm but this was an outright because the list was not handwritten it was a computer printout. This is either a case of gross dishonesty or incompetent operation, either way we sit back at our apartment with ordered pizza and a few beers, stunned at this encounter. This is the kind of place that can only exist in a place where there are a bunch of rich tourists. $13 (us dollars) for a single burger, and no fries ($5 usd extra for the fries). The burgers are tasty, but its not like they are huge or have anything that justifies the price. They wont give glasses of water, only small bottles of water. Nothing fancy, regular nestle water they sell for just a few pesos at the shops, and this place wants several dollars for it. As we walked in, a tourist told our group "best place in town, you cant cook at home for this cheap!" Apparently they have never eaten locally, cause you can certainly get a lot more food for the 24 dollars i spent for my meal. (burger, fries, water, and tip) Also, we had to flag down the waitress to order drinks, then again when no one returned to take our order. Then they messed up all the fries orders at the table.
