Went in the restaurant asking for the restroom, I know some facilities reserve the right to offer the restroom just for costumer so I informed the person at the front which it was the manager Moy if I could use the restroom we had a long drive from the airport and I really needed to use it. He told me "NO only for costumers "to which I answer I'm aware here is my debit card you can either charge it or keep it as a guarantee that I will be consuming, my family is also coming they are just parking. He ignored me for the next 5 minutes as if I wasn't even there. So I went ahead and used the restroom( I had just recovered from a health condition and can't afford to get UTI ) went I came out of the restroom the lady at the bar was very sweet and helpful I purchased a Tamarindo margarita, my friends at that point were inside the restaurant ready to get a table and order food, but once I explained the rude way the manager treated me we all left. I asked to speak with the manager but once they told me it was the guys I was going to complain about I just left. Its very sad that we get treated like that and we had to take our business else where only because of rude people like MOY ( I believe that is his name). POOR COSTUMER SERVICE...
Read moreOkay I live in San Miguel now so this is an honest review. The menu is very diverse. The sea bass was off the charts. My wife had the crabby Burger which was a crab and grilled shrimp pressed patty. Both are fantastic. She's not a big cheese eater so had to take the cheese off of the burger. They probably have 30 to 40 different types of tequila and mezcals to choose from for their margaritas and cocktails. The ambiance is six stars if I could give it. They have a cute bar when you first walk in but we went to the restaurant in the back. The location couldn't be better as it's right near the church and the cost was about 10 to $15 a person US. You definitely want to put this on your list of places to eat at when you are in San Miguel. We were there early but they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays and I've heard that the music is fantastic. One of the owners is an artist and painted all the beautiful artwork inside the place. Make sure you definitely put this on your list of places to visit and even though there's not a lot of tables they don't rush you to get out and You can hang out for hours. Restaurants are super clean and this staff is super helpful along with menus in English...
Read moreI like the food and the place but it needs some changes. Here they are: The ginger margaritas are so sweet we could not drink them. The martinis are half the glass, half the size of La Manantiel. Jose Luis needs to ask Pepe at La Manantiel how to make them and train the bartender. The staff put their own tip amount on the credit card. This will be challenged and the entire bill will become a problem. The staff is "old school" and not at all like La Manantiel. They continuously try to take your plate as if that consitutes good service.
Please improve or we will never be back. My concern is that with the great location they can be mediocre and survive with non-repeat...
