While we have passed this place many times, we had never had the opportunity to try it. It's kinda weird because we have always loved Peruvian food.

Anyway, we decided to give it a try. We got there around noon and they were still serving breakfast/brunch. Adal, our server, seated us and took our drink order. While we were waiting for our drinks he made several suggestions on which menu items to try. I ordered a latte and Stacy ordered a passion fruit juice. Both drinks were excellent. Fresh bread with butter and jam were provided while we waited our food.

After checking out the menu Stacy ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs (which came with your choice of potatoes or salad. Stacy said the salad was fantastic). The avocado toast was very good. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with a Peruvian yellow sauce which was amazing. I would definitely order those again, but there are also a lot of items on the menu I am looking forward to trying, especially some of the ceviches.

As far as service, I say this unequivocally, Adal is one of the best servers in all of San Miguel. He has worked at several restaurants around town and has evolved into a knowledgeable professional. His English is excellent (I know this is important to some folks), he is happy to provide suggestions, he checks on guests frequently, and always has a smile on his face.

We loved our brunch at Lima and can't...

Our family enjoyed dinner at LIMA tonight, and everything was absolutely amazing! I agree with other diners, Lima is definitely a hidden gem just outside the typical tourist spots, but is within walking distance from Centro. Hands down the best food we've had in SMA so far! The chef does an impeccable job balancing the five essential tastes, all while using authentic Peruvian ingredients. Every dish feels like a tribute to the heart of Peru, rich in tradition, soul, and the warmth of its people. We've tried several ‘hole-in-the-wall/hidden gem’ places and left wanting more flavor. Lima absolutely delivered! If I only had 24 hours in SMA, dining at Lima would be a must! And trust me, whatever you do, save room for dessert. It’s the perfect finale to an unforgettable meal! Safe to say, the cravings have officially been...

Lima was absolutely delicious. I knew before hand that Peruvian food is really good but I wasn’t expecting much. The owner was there when we were eating and she and the staff was so nice. They gave us some recommendations of food and drink and that is exactly what we ordered. We had ceviche clásico and a rice with meet and shrimp that’s was mind blowing. Look we were in San Miguel only a week and I came here twice that’s how much I liked it. The second day we had a potato something with shrimp (sorry don’t remember the name) and that was my absolute favorite thing! Hope they continue striving and maybe growing to another cities in Mexico! ... also side note my boyfriend has never lived seafood and that day I was like common try ceviche - he likes seafood...

Lima Cocina should be your next stop in San Miguel de Allende! This beautiful Peruvian restaurant offers a delightful outdoor seating area, covered, cozy, and wonderfully decorated. Having been to Peru and having been married to a Peruvian, I can confidently say this place serves authentic, mouthwatering Peruvian cuisine. I enjoyed the Aji de Gallina and Lomo Saltado, both were exceptional. The beef in the Lomo Saltado was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The Aji de Gallina was pure comfort food, creamy, savory, and downright delicious. Don’t skip the salsa picante, it adds just the right kick! Lima Cocina is a must visit for anyone craving authentic Peruvian flavors. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu!

Four of dined here last night. They have about 5 or 6 complex dishes Specifically designed for vegans! - in addition to lots of non vegan meals. All of us very much liked our meal. Especially fabulous was the vegetable ceviche. My wife (and I, with tastes of her’s) loved its flavors, though our friend felt the lime taste was a bit much. A few other things: they take special care in the food’s lovely presentation. The owner knows his stuff as he is Peruvian. And lastly, try to get a seat in Alfred’s section - what a fun and knowledgeable waiter!!
