A Taste of Authentic Sinaloa: El Sinaluense Olas Altas Delivers!
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at El Sinaluense Olas Altas in Mazatlan, and it was an absolute culinary delight! If you're searching for genuine Sinaloan flavors, look no further. This restaurant truly captures the essence of the region's cuisine.
We started with the almejas rellenas (stuffed clams), and they were simply divine. Each clam was perfectly prepared, showcasing a harmonious blend of fresh seafood and traditional seasonings. The flavors were vibrant and authentic, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality.
For my main course, I opted for the fried fish, and I was equally impressed. The fish was cooked to perfection – crispy on the outside, yet tender and flaky within. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural sweetness of the fish without overpowering it.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail in the presentation. Each dish was thoughtfully arranged, adding to the overall dining experience. It's clear that El Sinaluense Olas Altas takes pride in serving not just delicious food, but also visually appealing meals.
Beyond the exceptional food, the prices were incredibly reasonable. We felt we received excellent value for the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed.
Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend El Sinaluense Olas Altas to anyone visiting Mazatlan. It's a must-try for those seeking an authentic taste of Sinaloa. We will definitely be returning on our next trip...
Read moreBe careful! Unfortunately waiters might look for an opportunity to take advantage from you. We went there two days in a row, first time our waiter was Fernando, he did an excellent job we had a great experience with food, ambient and service; from that experience we decided to take some friends for dinner the next day… HUGE MISTAKE, food was good but service was horrible.. we had a hard time just getting some water just because they wanted to sell the plastic bottles🙄… the waiter charged additional tip direct to our card without asking (despite we had already put a nice tip…) we needed to ask for a refund… she went and change our bill again and gave us some money back, saying it was already in the system and couldn’t be changed… so bizarre.. I wouldn’t recommend it, much less if you don’t speak and/or understand spanish well. Save yourselves from a bad experience, there are plenty of places with good food around,...

It was loud, but not so loud that it hurt; the sound check seemed more reasonable. The service was attentive both times. They bring out a cup of complimentary broth to start. I did not like how sweet my piña colada was, and the servers were kind enough to add more ice for me. The shrimp were large and tender too. Great view, location, and awesome place for lunch I think.
When I didn’t like A lot of extremely loud music; if you’d like a conversation this may not be your first pick. We ordered a fish ceviche and shrimp ceviche. The shrimp was better but the fish was not good at all. My partner is not a foodie and will always finish a plate of ceviche, yet could not eat it. Seems like a good place for a drink and live music with friends going out...
