Fonda Fina Cocina de Tulio — Restaurant in Sinaloa

Everything the other reviews say is true - the food at Fonda Fina Cocina de Tulio is amazing. I had the Tripas Enchipotladas and it was the best tripa I've ever had - cooked perfectly, a little crunch on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned to perfection.

But this review is more about the service. I WhatsApp'ed the restaurant a couple of weeks before we arrived asking if they had a ramp so my friend who's in a motorized wheelchair could enter. Tulio answered that they didn't, but his crew could lift the wheelchair up the one step into the restaurant. I explained that it was too heavy and awkward to lift, so Tulio responded "You know what? I'll get a ramp, no problem." Sure enough, when we arrived, the ramp was set up and Tulio was there to explain that there wasn't enough room to set up the ramp at Fonda Fina (narrow sidewalk), so he set it up at his other restaurant next door and would let us order off the Fonda Fina menu. The whole thing was a great experience.

Same owners at the place next door but this space seemed busier. Everything on the menu looked well presented. I don’t have pictures of the other dishes but I would try everything. This particular dish is the beef ceviche style which was very flavorful! The only thing off putting for me was that the amount of beef in the dish for the price seemed a bit high.

The ambiance is casual cafe with an open kitchen. On Google you might think it’s a bit fancier; it is not. The servers seemed polite and kind. We only had one Non issue when my order came out a different meal completely and the waitress seemed to want me to take it anyway. There was no way I’d take fish when I ordered beef, but not a big deal just had to wait for it. Other than that, drinks were also great. Good spot for a quick meal and catch up session...

I ordered a shrimp sandwich only to find a layer of pork on it. I don't eat meat! The owner would not take it off the bill unless the waitress paid for it. So I paid of course, and ordered something else. I haven't gone back as this behavior was so small on their part. I live nearby & would've been a regular customer. I didn't appreciate the response from the owner. Invalidating my experience there. This is what happened. The shrimp dish did not say it had pork on it. The waitress was upset & told me if it came off my bill, she would be forced to pay. Your lose of what would have been a good customer...
