Came in for breakfast with 6ppl. They sat us at a table that fit 4-6. Another person joined our table 20min later, so we asked if we could sit at a bigger booth (that seats 8-10) that had remained open for 10-15min across from us. They said no, someone else is waiting, and then sat 3ppl at the big table. Our table was crammed with 7 while 3 had more space than they knew what to do with. Not a huge deal, but a little irritating.
We arrived at 1015. We received our food at 1145. The smoothies took ~30min and were great, no complaints. Food arrived 1 at a time. 2 meals came, 2 more came 5min later, 2 more came 10min or so after, and the final meal came a full 20-30min after the first plate. My meal was the final one - I sat for 15min just waiting for my plate while everyone else ate, and in total the final plate of food didn’t arrive for over 1.5hrs from us coming in. 1/2 the tables in the place were still empty, and we counted 4 tables within eyesight that also seems to be scanning the restaurant for anyone paying attention enough to take their order. It literally felt like a collective tension was rising as everyone tried to figure out why they weren’t asked what to order for 20-30min and didn’t receive food thereafter for 20-30min+ after, esp at only 50-70% occupancy. Really odd.
I never said a word about any of this - my MX friends were way more annoyed than I was, but they still remained polite. They asked a couple times where the remaining plates were, 2 waiters said “it’s coming soon”. I haven’t sent a plate back in probably my entire life - I’m known as the guy who doesn’t care + will eat anything, but I couldn’t eat my food. It was so salty I couldn’t handle it, first meal like that I recall in my entire life. My friend next to me got the exact same plate (mariner benedict) and lol’d when he took a bite of mine - again, the exact same dish - and how mine tasted so noticeably different. My gf loves salt and winced saying “oh no, this isn’t...
Read moreI went there and was served tortilla soup that didn't have any of the ingredients in it that they claimed on the menu, and was just tomato juice and tortilla strips, and a quesadilla that was not cooked, and fell apart when I picked it up. Neither was edible.
When I sent it back, the owner came out to yell at me and tell me that I was the first one to complain at the restaurant in 20 years, and that I didn't know what I was talking about.
He yelled, and yelled, and yelled. He accused me of being a trouble maker. And never offered to change the food. So I just asked to pay for the drinks I had drank.
He yelled at me that I was going to have to pay for everything, even the food I didn't eat. And I said "I shouldn't have to, it was not cooked, and I didn't eat it". He then threatened me, and called the police on me. He actually called the police on me. Then he threatened me in front of them, so they let me go.
It was all very surreal, and traumatic. It was like a nightmare.
But I am sure you want to hear the full story and all the details, so you know what actually happened. They didn't give me enough space to write it here. But check out the restaurants listing on trip advisor and you can...
Read moreWe came here on a Sunday after the wait at Panama was too long. We were seated almost right away but our food took over an hour to arrive. We were a table of 7, and 2 out of 7 dishes came 40 minutes after one another. Half of us were finished before the rest of the food came. Service was awfully slow and staff/management didn’t seem to care. We were also smushed at our table with 7 people, when we asked if we could be switched the waiter told us that the other table was reserved for the waiting patrons. After it was all done, the so called table that was reserved had a total of 3 people that sat at it, a table twice our tables size. Bad service. Food was decent but after our experience we will not be back. Management needs some serious...
