Saisho Teppan & Sushi — Restaurant in Sinaloa

Our waitress was great, the general manager however made the experience horrible. We had a table of six, and one member of our party found hairs in her food. Food was not remade & the general manager persisted on not removing the item from our bill after we respectfully asked. He was very rude and lacked professionalism, he only removed the item from the bill after realizing our member had taken a photo of the hairs. Very unhygienic and unprofessional. I understand these issues can occur in any restaurant but the manner that this was resolved was very inappropriate. Manager also never apologized for the inconvenience. I was not able to experience the teppanyaki during my visit, but the delicious sushi made up for not being able to sit at the grill. We instead chose to sit at the sushi bar for an intimate setting even though the whole restaurant has that dark and mysterious vibe like any good sushi restaurant should. We enjoyed nigiri that were melt in your mouth fresh and colorful mock tails were almost too beautiful to drink. I actually enjoyed this experience more than I’ve rated it. Before you go, reset your expectations. This is not Teppanyaki in Tokyo, or even Honolulu. You are in Mazatlán! It will come with the constant colorful live music party that is any public space in Mexico at night. Our servers were very attentive and kind. The quality of the food was good, and the preparation, though dependent more on fire and steam than knife skills, was fun. My wife and I and our teen boys enjoyed all the food.
