Restaurant Maria Bonita (Hotel Viña Del Mar) — Restaurant in Sonora

Beautiful view, delicious food and amazing service! Located past the pavilion in Puerto Penasco, away from the louder more chaotic shops and bars, this was a welcome haven to enjoy a relaxing meal over the water with a nice sea breeze.

We had Shrimp Cocktail to start and the shrimp was cooked to order and so sweet and tender! I had the Hawaiian Shrimp (coconut shrimp). It was the best I’ve ever had! Served in a grilled half pineapple with heated juice and pineapple chunks sweetened with brown sugar with rice and salad. My friend was jealous of my choice! But his filet mignon was also delicious served with a mushroom gravy, salad and baked potato.

We will definitely go back when we come to town. They serve breakfast as well as lunch and dinner. We liked it so much we are going back...

Great chicken fajitas! Amazing ocean view. A lot of the people visiting don’t think it’s open to the public so it doesn’t get too much traffic so that’s kind of nice. It is located inside the hotel but still has open access to the street. The cook personally came out to our table to chat and greet himself....
