I was there a couple of weeks ago celebrating my mom’s birthday and although we walked in and reserved a table, we were told that there was a wait of approximately thirty minutes, so we walked the mall in the meat time. When we returned we were told that there was an additional forty five minute wait but the host gave us and other people waiting drinks and small appetizers, fair enough we stayed.
When we finally got seated we were offered drinks and some appetizers, but no menus. We flagged a waiter after approximately seven minutes just for the menu. Apparently they’re were busy as any high end restaurant and when the drinks arrived the waiter offered some shrimps that he swore were exquisite and we were going to love it or else he’ll pay out his pocket.
Sure enough when they came to our table we were shocked of how good they were and we ordered our entrees. I wanted the Arrachera dinner but the waiter swore that it was pretty basic and while I’m in a steakhouse I should go for a better dish because arrachera I could have it anywhere else. So I took his advice and opted for a bigger steak and the waiter indicated that the price was much higher for which I didn’t care since it was my moms birthday, I asked the steak to be medium cook and again the waiter said that if I didn’t like it he would pay out of his pocket.
We all finished our drinks and the shrimp appetizer and we were offered more drinks by different waiters in which I personally declined it.
When the food arrived in this rolling tray with candles on a hot flat grill everything looked amazing and so appealing that I couldn’t wait to beginning eating.
Although my steak looked appealing to the eye next to a grilled poblano pepper, as soon as I cut the first piece and placed in my mouth, other than fat and a bit or hard to chew I noticed the food was dead, which means the food was cold. As I kept trying to get other parts of the steak the inside was still bloody and raw, more than half of that steak was full of cold fat.
When the waiter finally came around I told him about the condition of the steak for which he suggested to bring me a hot flat grill… and when I told him about my disappointment with the dish he said: “should we fire the chef” really?
First and last time I ever go to that establishment, I felt sick for the rest of the evening and the evening was ruined for me considering the cost of that steak I was...
Read moreWe sat down to eat and were harassed constantly by the staff. Our waiter was great but once they saw I am an American we had three other staff members come to us, ontop of the manager and we don’t know who else. We couldn’t have two minutes to ourselves to talk until we finally told them to stop circling us like vultures. At the end they asked for a huge tip, that we feel wasn’t deserved at all as they did nothing but make the entire experience annoying. The food sucks, it tastes frozen and refrozen. Stale and old. Would not recommend anyone else wastes their money here. I have no idea how they managed to get an award. Only saving grace is the decor of the restaurant. Do yourself a favor and...
Read moreThis was easily a top 3 dining experience in my entire life. The food, the atmosphere, but most all, the service. I was on vacation and I don't speak any Espanol at all, but Patricio recognized that and accommodated me perfectly by offering an English menu, speaking to me in English, and giving me a super personable experience!
Dining here would have been great even without him, but Patricio made this experience unforgettable and I cannot recommend he and the restaurant enough. If I could give 10 stars, I would!...
