Loncheria Olich — Restaurant in Valladolid

We were excited to visit this restaurant based upon the recent reviews. It was as quaint and beautiful on arrival but unfortunately the waiter that served us was extremely rude. We are English but my partner can speak a decent level of Spanish and had a couple of questions about the menu - the waiter seemed to have no patience and was more interested in watching the football game that was being screened elsewhere in the restaurant.

The menu is confusing in that some of the options for the food (ie the meat that you choose to come with it) are on the back of the menu with the drinks, which made no sense.

The music cut out a number of times and then somebody (maybe a member of staff/family member) was playing a loud shooting game which made the atmosphere a bit strange.

Despite this the food was very good and reasonably priced but we felt very unwelcome and a burden on the waiter we had which means we won’t...

We came to this place to have a dinner. The place opens at certain our, i think 6pm, in the evening and We came right to that time. We were not the only ones waiting.

Once the place opened, We took a table inside. We ordered a selection of different tacos (totally 8) and a large fruity drink. The food arrived in 10-15 minutes. Everything was fresh and tasty, very authentic and local. The prices are very friendly, we paid around 170 pesos for everything. We could only pay in cash.

The waiters couldn’t speak English, but we could understand each other with our basic Spanish.

The interior is very cozy: lights, plants, comfortable furniture. The tables for example are made of old Singer...

Not sure why others have rated this so highly but we did not have a good experience here which is a shame. This is a family run restauraunt but the service was awful. The fella who took our order was rude and the tacos we had tasted very bland.. prices are a bit confusing if I’m honest as we were told that if we wanted tacos with chicken we were to be charged 48 pesos but they totalled to 20 each. The venue itself is nicely decorated and would feel cosy if it was a bit busier but we were in a rush to get out after we had finished our meal.

On the brighter side their hand made juices...
