My 11 year old and I treated ourselves to three tours!!!!! We wanted both history, culture and nature, and we got it all. Staying in Valladolid was the perfect base to explore all the sites. We did Go Wonders, Go Monkey and Go Flamingo, and I would recommend them all. My kids favourite was Go Flamingo, probably because she got to sit in a boat for 2 hours and we were lucky to see a rather large crocodile and a few younger ones closer up. We had both Jose and Gilberto as our guides over the tours. Both local Mayan people, passionate about their history and great story tellers. Both were able to keep my kid interested. While you can't climb at Chichen Izta, we both enjoyed climbing other sites when we could, and our guides clearly knew the tips for getting into places swiftly, and doing the tours in an order to minimise the crowds. The provided lunches were great. We picked MexiGo Tours over others based on reviews, and I can only...

We stayed in Valladolid for 3 days and unfortunately we discovered them too late! We did the “go cenote by night” which was magic (we had the opportunity to swim and have a dinner inside a beautiful cenote), and we also did the “go Maya”, a super interesting bicycle tour (we visited a local market and tasted some local specialties, visited a cenote where we literally "jumped" in the water, cooked tacos and learned the amaca secrets with local Mayan people at their houses).

Josè, who speaks many languages including Italian, was very welcoming and friendly. He brought us to the cenote and along the way he gave us lots of information about Mexican/Maya culture and history… the evening was magic and interesting. The day after, we went for an amazing bicycle tour with Toon, which was super fun and enjoyable: we never stopped laughing and talking about Mexican traditions and history.

We are just very sorry that we didn’t discover...

Highly recommend MexiGo for the day trip to Chichen Itza. They are very organized and professional. They were very responsive to our questions before the trip, shared the itinerary ahead of time and picked us up on time. Gilberto is a great guide. He is very knowledgeable on Mayan history and Mexican culture. He openly shares what he knows including some great food and music recommendations! He is also funny and good company. He was attentive and considerate of our needs the entire trip.

You get full value of your money with this trip. Lunch is included as well as the entry fee to a beautiful less-crowded cenote. Best complementary surprise was the ice cream at Izimal.

Lastly, a very special shoutout to Vivyana from the MexiGo team office in Valladolid. I dropped my passport on the street on my way from the trip and Vivyana went above and beyond to ensure I was reunited with my passport. She was exceptional and very...

We went on the Go Wonders tour today with Gilberto. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in Valladolid and went straight to Chichen-Itza. We arrived at Chichen-Itza at about 8, and it was quite quick to get into the archeological site (the mass of people came when we were leaving at about 11:30). Gilberto was very knowledgeable and passionate about explaining the temples, ball court etc in the site, and how the sites are linked with the underworld, middle world and high world. Gilberto’s English was great, he is quite funny and had great car tunes! Next we went to Cenote Yokdzonot, where we swam in the Cenote and had lunch (the soup was delicious). Our last stop was Izamal where we climbed Kinich Kak Moo and visited the Convent. Gilberto was an excellent guide and we would highly recommend MexiGo Tours!

We took the Rio Lagartos, Las Coloradas, and Ek Balam Tour with Mexigo. It was awesome! All of the communication with them before even traveling was easy and informative. The tour ended up just being the two of us, which made it even more special. Our guide was very nice and had tons of great information to share, not to mention being able to speak 5 languages including Mayan. Rio Lagartos is cute and beautiful birds. Our boat ride was amazing as was our driver. We saw flamingos, tons of other beautiful birds, and even a crocodile. We played in the white mud, ate a nice lunch, saw the beautiful pink pools of salt, and then explored the incredible ruins of Ek Balam. We even stopped at a tequilaria on the way back to Valladolid. I would highly recommend the tour and the company. It was an extraordinary day!
