Beautiful open air cenote in the middle of Valladolid with vines hanging down. It's very popular. We arrived at noon and went on the reservation list for 3:30. Only about 25 people are allowed to swim at a time, lots of room, never felt crowded. Plenty of places to jump from, 2 - 12 metres. 60 pesos. Change rooms and bathrooms, no lockers. Excellent way to cool off from the mid day heat and humidity. UPDATE: as of 2025 the price for foreigners is 150 pesos and no reservations can be made. Wait times can be over an hour in the afternoon. Stand in line to get a lifejacket, when one is available you buy a wrist band, then enter the cenote and wait again at the bottom for people to get out of the water before you are allowed to swim. The old system was much better! Ticket sales end at 4pm. You could wait in line for an hour only to be told they are not selling any more tickets. ARRIVE EARLY! Or go to less crowded...

You can see this cenote from the restaurant on the edge, and it's beautiful. Easy to find, has dedicated parking, and the town itself is beautiful. We stopped here on our way back from visiting Chichen Itza and so glad we did. Check out my review of the restaurant. It...
Read moreAmazing location if visiting Valladolid since this paradise is just within the city and yet super exotic and beautiful. Good enough to get a daily refreshing jump into the water before or after a tour or sightseeing. I just don't like it that nobody has to take a shower before swimming, is busy, a life jacket is a must to swim. So sad that people leave trash behind. Staff just don't care at all, and yet they just make sure all in the water look safe, which is good. The Cenote is beautiful though!!! Beware by rush hours!... 20 minutes waiting time to get a life jacket in order...
