In August, we came here with a group of Korean tourists and Mongolian friends. They wanted to try Mongolian pasture-raised meat, which they had heard was very good. After searching online, we found this place and decided to visit.
Looking at the prices on the menu, we expected a restaurant with good service and a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, that was not the case. No menu was brought to us when we sat down. Orders were sometimes forgotten — one person in our group only received their food after everyone else had already finished eating. The steak we ordered was tough, full of tendons and skin.
We also ordered a mozzarella salad, but it had absolutely no flavor at all — just some plain, rubbery white pieces that didn’t even taste like cheese.
The service didn’t feel like a proper restaurant at all. It was more like a simple cafeteria, where food is just delivered to the table with no real hospitality or professionalism. Service and restaurant culture should be different from a canteen, but here that difference was missing.
It looked like mostly students were working there, can't really blame them, and it wasn’t clear if anyone was actually managing the place.

Read morePossibly the worst steak I’ve ever had! I so wanted to enjoy a decent steak, living in Mongolia we have great meat. Although it’s clear on the day I visited, MG steak had no idea as to what they were doing.
We ordered a tomahawk steak and a beef soup. We waited about 30-40 minutes. When the steak arrive (I had ordered well done l) it turned up still bloody and clearly undercooked (rare). We asked for a refire upon its return it appeared that it had been dropped in a deep fat fryer, it was greasy and dripping with oily fat (see images). The meat was fatty and poor quality there were parts well cooked and under done.
The side salad was pleasant but French fries under cooked. For the price there are better options and I would defiantly avoid and not eat here.

Read moreI ordered a medium-rare T-bone steak, but what arrived was… a mystery. First, the chef cut the steak into tiny pieces first and grilled them, I specifically didn’t want that. Also, it was medium-well, which is not my order. I asked the waitress to fix it, and somehow, when she’s back with the steak, the cow was still mooing. 😇
And the sear…🤣 I don’t understand why it’s so hard to actually sear the outside of a steak. It was as if someone boiled it in water for 2 minutes. Flavor? Tenderness? Didn’t exist. Asked them to sear it a bit at least, but it was still the same except they sprinkled some black pepper on it🤪
The french fries were undercooked.
