Not great overall. Indoor seating not available because no air conditioning was on in middle of 35 degrees heat I mean that's simply lazy. Government guideline asks for negative PCR test or vaccination proof to seat inside both of which we had and showed but again indoor was hotter than outdoor so we sat outside. The menu felt totally made up these are not "Asian" dishes all just thrown in there with some sauce and they call it Asian, saying it having had my Chinese partner with me. When we were ready to order our food I politely raised my hand to this gentleman who I saw was interacting with customers before to ask if I can order, he was surprised because he said he is the manager the restaurant staff can take order. Anyway he took our order but to make a statement about how he is the manager and staff usually take order put me off, you are in service business yes manager walks around and when necessary takes order or immediately brings a member of staff to help the customer not to explain how he is the manager and make me feel bad that I wanted to give my order to him...As for food well we got the mixed platter for two for 25 euros and when the food arrived we immediately felt wow that's so overpriced for a plate of basic starters rather than main dish. It was at least fresh but very underwhelming. We also ordered a plate of sea bass fillet in sweet and sour sauce (because they didn't have Calamari) which again was fresh (yet totally made up) but the sauce was way too strong and plus with all the sauce we had for the mixed platter we ended up with stomach pain afterwards. We also ordered some sort of Asian iced tea, and they brought lemonade with ginger... We said why do you call this iced tea then, they said that's just what we call it, huh?! Oh at the end the manager randomly explained that he is adding 6 euros to the bill for reasons I personally could not understand. So 52 euros overall for made up Asian food, basic starter which is sold as main and so called Asian iced tea which is actually just lemonade. 2 stars just because the food was freshly made.
Update: I can see a response below that my comment and my partner's review doesn't match, my partner said he got diarrhoea, and I said we got stomachache, that makes them not match? Well people judge for yourself the owner's response is to invalidate a legitimate poor review, how about addressing the numerous issues raised above? Reducing down to 1 star due to...
Read moreThe best Asian food restaurant I've tried in Montenegro. Even better than many I've tried in the USA, including NYC, California, Florida and Puerto Rico. It's probably because it's being managed and operated by the owners, Goran and his wife. They know how to take care of their business.
I ate the Sichuan King Prawns 🦐 🍤, with stirr fried vegetables, in a delicious brown sauce... and it comes with white rice, which I had to request an extra portion because it wasn't enough for a big guy like me. Everything was cooked to perfection, including all the vegetables. They were crispy and vibrant and full of flavor, just like the shrimp/prawns, which were very good size, unlike my previous unpleasant experience, with the same dish, at another so-called Asian restaurant, in Podgorica, which I couldn't eat and could barely see the miniature shrimp.
I will definitely come back a few more times during my 1 week stay in Budva.
The service and the atmosphere are also excellent. Their beautiful courtyard has a lot of very comfortable outdoor seating... And even pedestal fans, for when it's hot outside.
I can't want to try the Tom Yum soup and the Tom Khai Gai soup, among many other dishes. The prices are higher than the other lower quality Asian restaurants, but that's for obvious reasons. It is worth it and reasonable, to pay more, for much much better quality. It's so difficult to find a good Asian restaurant in Montenegro. I'm glad I did.
Best wishes to this...
Read moreFortunately the food that I got forced to eat, tasted good.
I wanted something light to eat at brunch, so I ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, the waiter accepted the order and confirmed. A minute later he comes back and says they are out of springs rolls, and that I will need to order something else instead. I had already checked their menu, and it didnt have anything else that I wanted at the time, so I said I wanted to cancel the order. He basically came up to my face and said, you have to order something else, we can even cover the difference as long as it is
