I would have given it at least 4 stars, if it wasn't because of the extremely unprofessional, emotionally unstable, rude, aggressive, angry, bitter, older man 60+, that works as a server, during the first shift, from morning, until around 2pm...which has been mentioned in many other reviews on here, but apparently the owner of this restaurant doesn't care enough about his customers, to fire this mediocre, inept server, that doesn't deserve to have this job.
I went to eat many times to this restaurant, despite my initial bad experience with this older server, because I like to support smaller business and I didn't want to judge this restaurant, based on one bad server, that may not be a true reflection of the business. Also because most times that I went, I had a different, much better, truly professional, younger server, named Urosh, which took good care of me as a customer, the way any good restaurant server should.
The food was also good enough to keep coming back, and the prices were very reasonable. It was also close to my apartment, which made it convenient for me, on my way to the beach, etc.. but it's not the only restaurant around, not even the best one....
So, after I had a 2nd really bad incident, with this mediocre server, I decided that it was going to be the last day I tolerate this unprofessional behavior and decided to not go back. I didn't even leave a tip, for the first time, and I usually tip very generously, always more than 30% to 40%, which to Montenegrin standards, or any nation's restaurant standards, is a very high tip.
My local Montenegrín friends, which one of them witnessed and experienced his rude behavior, during our first time there, will never come back to this restaurant either.
The food is good, but not enough to tolerate this kind of uncalled for /unjustified verbal abuse and ridicule, from a low quality employee. I can find better food at same, or better prices, somewhere else, without the abuse.
My friends and I always treated this employee and every employee, with a lot of respect, from the beginning. I even tipped him well, despite the first bad experience. His behavior was condescending and disrespectful, without any justification, or provocation.
If the owner of this restaurant doesn't care enough about his business and about his customers, to remove this employee, to prevent any more unpleasant and upsetting customer experiences, to prevent ruining customer's appetites, despite all the bad reviews (which the owner has even acknowledged and replied to), then we, as customers, should not continue supporting this business.
There are a lot of many other good restaurants in Budva, with great quality food, at great low prices. For example, try 'Fish Grill', for the best fresh Sea food in town, at the lowest prices, where you even get to select your own fish.
For grilled meats and traditional dishes, there are so many other good options to choose from, too many to mention on here. Don't settle for low quality service.
Best wishes to Urosh, and the young lady server, that were always very professional. Thanks also to the kitchen staff. They are the only ones I will miss from this restaurant. I'm not going to risk ruining my appetite ever again, going to this...
Read moreMy opinion is really mixed - on one side, really good food, but the service was mediocre. Waiter not very good in communicating in english (in such place, like Budva, this is really confusing) and was acting, like we disturbed his peaceful time at work. He was forcing us to choose just one big dish for six people, not what we wanted - so he won't have much work. When we ordered beer, he didn't ask which one, and just brought the most expensive one. In the bill, there was added one dish we haven't ordered and also local bread for six people, when only three ordered it. Localisation is just next to busy street, where drivers tend to often use car horns. I don't recommend Prebranac - bean goulash; it was tasteless. Now the good sides - the fried cheese was absolutely fantastic! Big and tasty portion - You can fill your stomach after eating it, and it is an appetizer :) Also nice crepes with nutella and stuffed paprika. Local is not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive one - Budva is a very expensive place. Overall - maybe we were unlucky, but the impression...
Read moreHad a lunch in this cafe several times. Food was good. But the service is really depends on what waiter will serve you table. Young man was friendly and polite. But the old man was awful: be ready to sarcastic remarks in your address. And in our last day we came to drink some tea before our bus (only because this caffe was on our way to a bus station). Our cups were dirty, one cup was broken (it was a crack and tea spilled into the saucer). We politely told about this and the answer was: there is not a problem. We thought that maybe it’s just a misunderstanding and asked about new cup again. But the answer was the same: there is ok, drink you tea. And the tone was really rude. Off course we left this place. We have not even try this tea and didn’t pay for it. We were followed by threats and curses from this waiter. Hope management will explain to him that to be so rude with the guests is not acceptable. I’ve noted that there already a lot of feedbacks about this waiter, but they do nothing- just write here how your opinion is important (but actually...
