Mondo — Restaurant in Dobrota

We specifically came for an English breakfast. We ordered it with a lady and then reconfirmed the order before she left the table (all in the local language as a native speaker). About 20 minutes later she brings some traditional bread dish I’ve never heard of and when I said I ordered an English breakfast, she assured me that “this” is what we ordered. Then when we asked her to bring the English breakfast, she returned to the table escorted by a male waiter who told us, “she is sure you ordered this”. Then when she finally brought the English breakfast. it was without the mushrooms that we asked for no less than four times throughout the countless interactions that I endured just trying to get a simple English breakfast.

Overall, insanely bad service. Slow, ambivalent, unapologetic and argumentative, plus below average food . —They bank on the view to attract random customers and don’t care about value or service as they don’t rely on repeat...

We went there 2 times. Once for lunch, where everything was fine. The staff were friendly and we had the grilled squid which was pretty good. We then decided to come back again another day for dinner and it wasn’t the same experience. They didn’t have most of the fish dishes on the menu and when we ordered grilled shrimps they first told us that they were not fresh. 2 minutes later, the waiter came back and said that the shrimps were actually fine and they can serve them to us. We agreed, but eventually turned out that they didn’t taste fresh so that was a little disappointing. Probably the pizza was the best thing we had at this restaurant. Both of the times we also got compliments from the restaurant, 2 plates of appetisers which were definitely very delicious and different from what we have every day. The greek salad was also good. Exellent place for lunch.

We took salad + appetizer (eggplant-yogurt) which was awesome combination. It was not recommended by the waiter but suddenly that combo was great. Actually waiter recommended that appetizer with raki and I tasted that with salad 🥗 and I was lucky it worked 🤩🤩

Also bacon 🥓 pasta 🍝 was delicious. Espresso ☕️ with hot milk also good!

We ordered a lot and price was reasonable.
