Learn moreAs a local from the Montenegrin coast, with a penchant for exploring local cuisine, my recent visit to Teraca restaurant, nestled by the entrance of Kotor from the west town gate, was an experience worth savoring and sharing.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the attentive staff. Their professionalism and courtesy set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show – the menu. Teraca’s new menu is a testament to culinary innovation and a celebration of Montenegrin flavors. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted with locally sourced ingredients, showcasing the richness of the region’s gastronomy.
The selection of appetizers offered a tantalizing start to the meal. From the delicate Teraca rolls, carefully folded into delicious bites with, every bite was a symphony of taste and texture.
Moving on to the main course, I opted for the beef stake with truffles. The stake was tender yet charred to perfection, delightful contrast of flavors.
Throughout the dining experience, the staff demonstrated impeccable politeness and attentiveness, ensuring that every need was met without being intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate dietary preferences added an extra layer of satisfaction to the meal.
To conclude, Teraca restaurant surpassed my expectations in every aspect – from the delectable cuisine to the impeccable service. Whether you’re a tourist exploring the beauty of Kotor or a local looking for a culinary gem, Teraca is a must-visit destination that will leave you craving for more.
Thank You for an amazing experience, can’t wait...
Read moreWe chose this place because it was the second most recommended on TripAdvisor. The reviews were good, but first of all, the service here is terrible. It took about 20 minutes for them to take our order, and then after another 10 minutes, we found out that our order hadn’t even been taken yet. After they finally took the order, we waited another 40 minutes for our food. In the end, we waited and lost more than an hour just waiting for our food.
— We ordered several dishes. The burger was full of whole black peppercorns, making it impossible to eat. I will attach a photo below.
— The falafel was also bad, almost tasteless.
— We also ordered teriyaki chicken, which was bland and tasteless; we couldn’t finish it.
— Finally, we ordered a quesadilla. It was also bad, with some kind of strange sauce.
To top it all off, when we called the waiter, he didn’t hear us several times and just walked past us. We had to go up ourselves and ask them to take our order or make some changes to it.
P.S. When we arrived, we were told that all the tables we wanted to sit at were reserved, and we were not allowed to take them. However, after sitting here for more than an hour, no one came, and those tables remained empty. We had to sit somewhere we didn’t want to.
P.P.S. The only good thing here was the smoothies and...
Read moreQuite simply, the best restaurant we visited, not only just in Kotor, but in all of Montenegro 😍 My partner is vegetarian and we've genuinely struggled to find restaurants that offer more than just a salad, fish or vegan risotto. Our Airbnb host recommended Restobar Taraca so we popped in for lunch whilst in the Old Town. The place itself is very cool with decor that's certainly had a lot of thought put in to it, but with an atmosphere and vibe that just makes the place a really cool and chilled place to be. We ordered the falafel and the tagliatelle, both of which were unbelievably delicious and full of so much flavour. Sadly, I didn't get the name of our waiter, but he was a top bloke, friendly, kind and and accommodating. Sat in the terrace area overlooking the river just made it even more special.
We're staying 10 Kms outside of Kotor, but have agreed to go back tomorrow for our final meal in Montenegro. Thanks again and we'll see you tomorrow for what undoubtedly will be, yet another memorable meal and...
