Kotor Old Town is a nice, charming place to spend half a day, but honestly, that’s about it. While it has a historic appeal and some interesting architecture, the place feels quite unmaintained. For such a popular spot, it could use a lot more care and attention.
The restaurants inside the old town are very overpriced, and to make matters worse, the service is lacking. The people working there are generally unfriendly, and some can be outright rude, which really puts a damper on the experience.
