I recently visited La Catedral Pasta Bar in the morning for a quick coffee break. Upon arrival, the host kindly guided me to sit on the left side as the right section was reserved for dining. I ordered a latte for £3, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious—rich, smooth, and the perfect start to the day.
As I sat sipping my coffee, I couldn't help but notice the mouthwatering breakfast plates being served around me. Everything looked so inviting that I immediately messaged my friends, asking them to join me for lunch. Despite the heavy traffic in the city, they arrived around noon, and we sat down to enjoy a wonderful meal together.
We ordered four different pasta dishes, including a gluten-free option, along with a bottle of local red wine. Each dish was an absolute delight, bursting with flavour, and the wine perfectly complemented our meal. Not a single one of us could resist raving about how delicious everything was!
But what truly elevated the entire experience was the outstanding hospitality we received from one of the restaurant's best employees, Goruš. He was not only incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, but he also had a wonderful sense of humour that kept us smiling throughout our meal. Goruš also treated us to some local cheeses, which were an absolute treat—each bite better than the last! He called himself Cheeses 😀😀
For a table of four, the bill came to 100 euros, which was more than reasonable considering the quality of the food, wine, and service. I can not recommend this restaurant highly enough for anyone visiting the area. The food is delicious, the staff are fantastic, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I'll...
Read moreThe girl waiting at the door was extremely nervous and ungracious. If I hadn't liked the place so much in the recommendations, I would never wait for the queue at the door. The girl at the door is very unpleasant and mobbing you. The food was not as good as expected. Do not come in vain by falling for the advertisements of influencers, this queue is not expected for these dishes. The only good thing in the place was the waiter who served the food and spoke Turkish was very good, thank you very much to him.
RE: Your dear employee politley, when we want to look at the menu while waiting in line, she gives us a menu and scolds us to look here, and when another customer comes and wants to look at the menu, instead of giving the menu to that customer, she turns to us and says to get out of the way of the menu table. Couldn't she give a menu to those customers as she did for us ? As you know very well, she was annoyed because she didn't like us cause some reasons and she continued this mobbing. She did mobbing knowingly and willingly, no matter what you say, it was already clear from all her mimics.
We were subjected to mobbing at least 4-5 times from the first moment we got in the queue until the last moment and kept silent. In this case, do we start the "yelling"? LOL 😂
As I said, I wanted to try it a lot because I saw a lots of comments about your meals but if I could go back to yesterday again, I wouldn't even wait 1 seconds at that time.
Also, if there are long queues, you can put the menu table elsewhere, this is not the problem of us customers.
Anyway, you are already popular enough, you should not blame customers for 1 bad...

Our experience at La Catedral Pasta Bar in Kotor Old Town was incredibly disappointing. We were a group of 12 and all ordered the aglio e olio spaghetti—it was bland, lacked any flavor, and had zero garlic. It genuinely felt like eating plain, boiled spaghetti. Everyone in our group agreed it was the most uninspired pasta we’ve ever had.
The bruschetta was a joke: a thin slice of cheap, not-so-fresh bread topped with a sad paste, one cherry tomato, and a single olive. No sign of real tomatoes, balsamic, olive oil, or onions. Definitely not authentic Italian and nowhere near worth the price.
The penne all'arrabbiata? Tasted like it came straight out of a jar. No depth, no spice, no freshness—just a mass-produced flavor slapped on overcooked pasta.
Service was equally poor. Staff were rude and unhelpful, couldn’t tell us how long the food would take (which is basic knowledge for any restaurant), and prioritized smaller tables over our group. In the end, we had to settle for takeout after waiting far too long.
Honestly, if you're craving pasta, you'd be better off buying a few ingredients and cooking at your Airbnb. It’ll taste better and cost a fraction of the price. This place is a classic tourist trap—overhyped, overpriced, and...
