What a culinary journey it was at Restaurant Porto in Podgorica, Montenegro! From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The amazing food, impeccable service, and the super fancy setting all contributed to an unforgettable dining experience. The adventure began with the Duo of Olive and Fish Pate - a delightful medley of flavors that danced on my taste buds. It was a perfect start to the culinary voyage that awaited me. Next up was the Tuna Tartare, and it was a showstopper! The freshness of the tuna combined with the expertly balanced seasoning created a symphony of taste that left me wanting more. The Octopus Salad was a true revelation - tender and packed with flavor. The combination of ingredients showcased the chef's expertise in bringing out the best in every element. The pièce de résistance was the Medium Well Done Fillet Mignon - cooked to perfection and bursting with succulence. Each bite was a revelation of culinary mastery, and it easily became the highlight of the evening. Throughout the meal, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect. The setting of Restaurant Porto was equally impressive. The elegant ambiance and chic decor created an atmosphere of sophistication that enhanced the overall dining pleasure. With every dish that graced my table, it was evident that the chefs put their heart and soul into creating exquisite culinary works of art. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients shone through in each plate. If you find yourself in Podgorica and crave a gastronomic adventure, Restaurant Porto is an absolute must-visit. So me and my Fiancee are in Podgorica, Montenegro 🇲🇪 on Holiday from our home in Manchester, England 🏴. We are staying in an Airbnb in the Centre of Podgorica, So in the Morning I went shooting near Danilovagrad but my Fiancee loves seafood so we saw that Porto Restaurant(Restoran) had fantastic reviews. So we opted to go to Porto Restaurant for Food, We entered and were warmly greeted by a Hostess who sat us in the restaurant, My Fiancee ordered a Nice Glass of Local Red wine 🍷 and I opted for a Nice cold pint of Local Beer Mamusat 🍺. My Fiancee really enjoyed her Red Wine it was slightly chilled, Great flavour and went down really nice, My pint of Mamusat was ice cold, Crisp and It was a really good pint. So the restaurant was very well decorated and Fantastic features like a little courtyard, Water feature, a tree and some World clocks etc. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, The service was amazing and then onto the food, So the waiter brought us some water for the table and some local warm breads 🍞 with Olives 🫒 that had been made into a paste. So for food we ordered a Fish stew(€3.50) and The SeaFood sharing platter(Seabass, baby squid, Grilled octopus, Seafood risotto)(€55) which consisted of 3x Seabass, 4x Baby Squid, Octopus 🐙, King prawns, Seasoned rice etc. The Fish Stew was very well seasoned, Fresh, fragrant, The fish was so fresh and it was delicious, So onto the Seafood sharing platter, What can we say wow, The portion was absolutely huge there was only the two of us but the seafood platter could of easily fed Four people. The Fish was cooked perfectly, The fish was extremely fresh and well seasoned and well presented, The fish was so soft and tender and went really well together. As busy as the Restaurant was the service was amazing, Extremely attentive staff and we cannot speak highly enough of Porto Restaurant. Service, Ambience, Food, Drink etc were exceptional. Bill only came to €77 but we rounded it upto €90 5☆

The local warned us not to go, but we ignored them and chose to believe the reviews instead. Don’t be like us. The food here is terrible. It lacks flavour, is over cooked and not worth eating. We didn’t finish our appetizers and took our mains to go.. which we threw out in the nearest garbage. The Blank ink risotto was very saucy and lacked the necessary delicacy to make such a dish work. The squid pieces were okay, but overwhelming is size and quantity. The chopped steak tartare was a really strange experience. The sever spent 20 minutes preparing it table side and then presented us with something that tasted like uncooked meatloaf. We are very interested in trying local unique food, but this just was terrible. It resembled canned pet food. The chicken has the texture and taste of sawdust. The 2 stars is for the decor - it’s absolutely fabulous and is one my favourites if all time. If you ignore this review and the advice of the locals and go here anyway, do so for lunch and get something small.

The atmosphere is mind blowing, what a genius mind that created the place: the plants, the colours - simply wow! Me and my boyfriend were super excited to be there and even walked around the place to enjoy every detail. The starters were tasty and my seafood risotto as well. I must say that the service was probably not in their best day in terms of being friendly from the beginning. Anyways, our issue happened when my boyfriend ordered a foie gras dish that came without it, and when mentioned, the reaction from the waiter wasn’t apologetic at all, he was irritated, which made us feel uncomfortable. Anyways, although I loved the atmosphere so much, I’m not sure if I’d go back, because of the service. Please change it whoever is in charge of it, such a place deserves happy and kind people working there, so it makes indeed a 4,7 rating

You wouldn't think this is a 5 star restaurant from the outside, but the decor is beautiful inside. The food and service were impeccable and had a really great lunch towards the end of my 4 weeks trip in EU. Porto is a must visit, and it's such a contrast to a thieving experience I had at Hemera Restaurant the next day. Octopus salad was amazing. It was close to a whole octopus of 350g. Fish soup was so clean that I didn't experience any stomach issues afterwards. The main course was fish plate, but it was actually seafood plate which includes more octopus. The whole lunch ended with a 2 euro latte which was great as well. I need to give special mention to the service. I should have asked for his name but service was on the spot and I didn't neglected anytime even if he was super busy after 12pm. He deserved 20 euro tipping.

The restaurant is really nice, good job on the design, not so good on the cuisine and waiting. We tried the tomato soup and grilled calmari that was nice. The mixed cheese plate was average and the black risotto was straight tasteless. The home made bread was hot and crispy one of the highlights of the place while the olive and fish spread that came with it was just ok. The entire experience was undermined though by an older waiter who seemed like he is tired of his job for a long time now. If you get a different waiter 4 stars would be fair for us this is a bit of an overstatement. The birds are cute but I doubt they like their cages.
