UPDATE : I was invited for a breakfast by the manager to make amends for my last visit here, the following review was not influenced by anyone, it's a truthful and honest personal review of the breakfast option specifically the "Traditionnelle" set (I didn't meet the manager nor did anyone of the staff members knew that I was an inviteee until later, the objective of my visit is to see their improvement proclamations). First I would like to applaud the customer service of La Grande Brasserie for the reason that they did not only reached to me but they acknowledged the problems in their hands and worked on them, one of those problems was the bread, now they offer a nice hot variety of soft pita bread like and semi-hard baguettes perfect for either spreadables or to go with your omelet, another issue was the staff attitude and service generally I was very satisfied with my waiter as he was nice, approachable and he offered free set of viennoiserie pastry ( because I picked a breakfast set but the pastry was still not available then I changed to another set). The eggs were cooked to perfection not mashed up and ugly like last time but made to my desirability 10/10 for the eggs, The Moroccan pastries(which most coffee shops get it wrong) were flawless, nice and warm like it's home made not oily, not soggy, not reheated. As a grand opinion of my visit La Grande Brasserie did improve on lot of levels the quality, quantity and service(but I saw some rude actions from other waiters I hope they learn from the bald gentleman) the setting is great calm and inviting, the food as described has been refined and I would say it's...
Read moreI had the pleasure to dine at this place on several occasions, food is great, most of servers are good, the bar staff are good as well. Aesthetically speaking, this place has a lighting issue. Hostesses need to be more professional and maybe smile more often. We had drinks at the bar (the bar staff were great) before heading to our table for dinner and here is why I gave two stars. When our meals arrived to the table, we needed ketchup and mustard. When we asked a server, he gave us the look as how dare you ask me that question. We felt like we bothered him, then we asked the manager (tall guy with beard), he was so hospitable and we automatically said that we wish he can transfer some of his hospitality skills to the other server we asked initially. No big deal, we moved on and enjoyed our time together. We asked for the bill, payed the server and went to get our car. The same server who felt bothered when we asked for mustard and ketchup, followed us outside with his ipad and asked us if we paid our bill in a, rather, unfriendly way. So I had to go back to the host stand, show my bank card receipt, wait for our server to tell them that we paid, wait for them to discuss the whole thing with a great lack of professionalism, as if they are fighting, no apology, explanation, or even a smile. It was pretty uncomfortable and not...
Read moreI live very close to this place but recently I've been avoiding it automatically because of how slow the service is. I used to come here but now I can't anymore. Service is just unusable. It feels like work to get the attention of a waiter. Example: 25min to get a coffee in the morning even tho the place is empty. 40min sitting at a table in the terrace and no waiter comes to check on you - your glasses are empty? Well you can't order anything, you'll just have to wait or interrupt your conversations and make a whole scene to catch a waiter. Too bad cause I used to like this place. Wish them luck in improving the service. But as of now, I...
