We chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews and the stunning view, but it turned out to be a disappointment. The Moroccan salad was nothing more than a pile of cilantro! As for the couscous, which was one of the most expensive in the area at 70 MAD (for the chicken version), the portion was tiny. The vegetables consisted only of an oversized, bitter turnip, and the chicken was just four small skewer-sized pieces. No caramelized onions or any other traditional toppings were included, but there was certainly plenty of cilantro.

Really good restaurant, the food was very tasty and big portions. The family you run the restaurant are very friendly and up for a chat. The view of the Kasbah is one of the best in Ait Ben Haddou, it has parasols to get out the sun and there is no rush for you to move. It's very peaceful just sitting and looking out to the Kasbah across the river sipping tea or coffee. And there are no hidden costs or scams like in some of the other restaurants and cafes...

A lovely place with good prices and tasty food. It is run by an old couple which are very friendly people. They make the food fresh and i haven't touched the best part yet.
