We stayed here for 1 night as part of our tour. Please be aware that there are no lifts and therefore you would need to carry your own suitcases up the flight of stairs if no porter is around. From memory it was about 20 steps to go up from the lobby to get to the first floor. Although the porters were present to assist in most instances.||||Our room was ok, it definitely had the old Moroccan charm but was a little spartan. The bathroom had a basin/toilet/shower – all very clean but the water pressure wasn’t great. ||||Our room also had a balcony which had a table and 2 chairs looking out over the hotel entrance and parking area. ||||The location is very good as it is situated near the famous fortress of Ait Ben Haddou. Although it is not a big town so this may apply to most of the hotels in this area. There are a few souvenir/jewellery/rug and clothes shops located in the alley ways next to the hotel. ||||Breakfast and dinner was part of our stay and is provided in a restaurant across a small alley. The restaurant was clean and the food was OK, bit limited. There were excellent views from the restaurant roof where Breakfast was served - but again a bit limited in the breakfast offerings||||The WiFi had good reception and I cant recall any issues with the air conditioning. Overall the hotel wasn’t bad, but wasn’t spectacular. I would recommend staying here as a good value option and for the closeness of...
Read moreOne night stay during group tour. I also stayed here during similar tour in 2014.|Well located to visit UNSCO site, simple stroll down a lane.|Atmospheric .All heavy wood doors. No lift. |I changed rooms|My room had windows(which were wide open on arrival ) opened out onto an enclosed yard with high wall surround. Minimal natural light ,low wattage lamps meant I could not see properly in the gloom.! Felt like medieval gaol! Also dirty toilet paper in bin.|Replacement room overlooked rear(west) .Much better natural light and electric lights afforded batter visibility. Bath with shower over. Lots of clean spare blankets and good duvet.|Nice firm mattress. Heating worked .|Good WiFi. |Opted for evening meal in restaurant, which is located over the road (below the terrace),.Reasonable food ,I just had what is described as a "starter" .Roof terrace with view too cold in December!|Breakfast served in pool area, with big space heater full on , again opposite over the lane. Unremarkable except for some hot, fresh, square doughnut type things ,which if eaten with honey were superb.|Pool area offers good views ,good size pool but one has to cross over the lane to use it ,not as appealing as a pool within a hotel's private grounds, but not applicable...
Read moreWe stayed one night at this hotel as part of a tour. On first glance this looks like a nice hotel but the comfort level is very low. We had incredibly rock-hard beds that had absolutely no give whatsoever so we barely slept. the shower was appalling - luke warm to say the least and our room faced the car park compound which was noisy as this was where the tour buses came into. Our room had a balcony which was very dusty as it faced the carpark, but also the door to the balcony didnot lock at all and so we felt our belongings were at risk. There were also a lot of stairs we required to carry our luggage up - there did not seem to be a lift. I have no idea if there was a lift at the hotel as none was offered to anyone - we all had to carry our luggage up the lengthy stairs.||||During our stay here our tour also offered dinner at the hotels restaurant as part of the package and it was extremely underwhelming. The breakfast in the morning was one of the worst breakfasts on our tour. The only thing the hotels restaurant has going for it is that it has a beautiful vista of the fortified village and opposite hill is one of the best spots to watch the sun rise over the UNESCO...
