Cafe Brunch & Shake — Restaurant in Essaouira

Aside from how nice the place looks, there's absolutely nothing nice I can say about it. Awful experience, awful food, awful staff. When we first got in, nobody received or welcomed us, the waitress just waited for us to take a seat to drop the menu in front of us. We had to wait a long time for breakfast even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. And when the food arrived... Where should I start? Cold eggs with a lot of pepper, terrible pancakes, bland salad, poor quality ingredients were used so I can't even pretend to have enjoyed what I have eaten. I couldn't even finish it. When I ordered an espresso for a hot drink with my breakfast the waitress said she wouldn't serve to me and ai could only order a cappuccino or tea. One napkin per breakfast. No water served. The cup where they put the yogurt was broken at the brim. The flies kept bothering us the whole time. The music was so loud to have a calm morning... I could keep going on and on about all the other things that made this an awful experience but suffice it to say, I'm never coming back here and I don't advise anyone to...

The experience was terrible and I have rarely been treated so badly. 30min after we ordered the drinks another member of staff came and enquired again and it turned out that pretty much everything was wrong and we placed our order again (We were only 4 people). After 1h we asked where our food was which was noted down by the waiter and supposedly this was never passed on. Instead of then taking the order again we had to wait again until the waiter had time and ordered once more the same things. After more than 2 hours the food finally arrived. The fries were cold and the food was ok. Not once did the waitress apologize to us and had absolutely no understanding. I have never been served so badly. The place looks nice and cozy from the outside, and the waitress welcomed us with a smile — but that’s where the good part ends. We waited over an hour and a half for our breakfast. When we asked what was going on, we were told to wait “just 10 more minutes,” but even after that, nothing came. We asked again, and only then did they start preparing our food. We were starving and extremely frustrated.

When we finally decided to leave, the waitress saw us walk out but didn’t even say a word — no apology, no explanation, nothing. Honestly, it was a terrible experience, and I would not recommend this place at all.
