I ordered for take out with Yangon door 2 door so this review is for the take out food. I'm not sure if the experience would be better in the restaurant itself.
I ordered a croque monsieur and a panini and they were both extremely lackluster. The croque monsieur was a pathetic sandwich with a sliver of meat and cheese in a thick wheat bread. The panini was no better, plain and mostly bread that was not toasted like a panini should.
It was especially disappointing considering the price, which is much higher than typical Myanmar prices. Also note there was a charge for "biodegradable" packaging, but it was simply a cardboard box. The price would be on par with what you pay in western countries but the quality was of that...
Read moreThis restaurant is an excellent spot for families. Our three daughters are a little picky regarding food. Therefore, finding an eatery where the menu satisfies all of us is sometimes a mission. However, O’Thentic is the perfect place. Last time we ordered a Beef Burger for me, my wife loves their galettes, and our girls had a mix of pizzas, pasta, and (of course) sweet crepes with ice cream (the main dish for our youngest one). And together with a few milkshakes and a bottle of wine (for adults only) served by always smiley and extremely friendly staff, the evening was just splendid. Thank you very much O’Thentic management, you do a...
Read moreI visited this week to sample the beef bourginon after popping in for lunch a little while back. It was better than the bourginon I had in Paris; very rich, decent amount of meat and the portion size was good for the cost (though I probably could have eaten another just on taste). My only slight criticism is that the carrots could have been a little softer, but tastewise, it was exactly what I was looking for. All washed down with a glass of house red with a happy hour discount, and finished with a rich chocolate mouse. This is going to become a regular treat as this excellent little bistro is not far from...
